Any M3 owners who selected fox red as their interior color of choice, now regret selecting it????

I ordered my M3 with black novillo but still have about a week and half before it goes into production to make changes, as you can tell, im not certian on wether to keep it black or go red

all opinions welcome

Whats your exterior colour?

I saw fox red for the first time last week and absouletly loved it. Its a difficult colour to capture correctly in pictures.

I was debating hard about this as well. I finally went with Bamboo Beige, reason being, I'm just not into red interiors and there was no way I was getting it without seeing it in person. Once I saw it, I was happy I got BB. Though its not a bright red, its still red but def a dark brick red. I think you can't go wrong with FR, you just need to like red is all if that makes sense.

but then depends what exterior you get maybe? what's ur exterior? i think it looks awesome on white and blacks mostly, i have to see other colors.. maybe SSII looks hot too

Yeah, you really can't go wrong with FR. I love it *slightly* less than IR in the E46, but only barely.

When I initially told people it was a white car with a red interior - everyone's isntant reaction was ewww. As soon as they saw it though, not one person didn't over it.
No one I asked told me that Black would have been better (the other option i was considering)

I doubt you'll find anyone with regrets right now, but I personally would never get that color. For one I think I would grow tired of it after a while, and I can't imagine that the resale will be as strong.

It's very subtle, not bright like coral - I'll never ever get tired of it. I don't see people getting tired of coral either so whatev. It honestly looks much more classy and luxurious than the BB too if that's the "look" you're going for. My dad who urged me to get BB took back what he said after he saw the FR - he's a very conservative fellow as well.

The thing that put me off the Fox Red is that unlike the 335i, only certain areas of the car are covered in it. For example, on a beige leather 335i, the whole door panels are also beige, as is the carpet, which I think finishes the car better - there is less clash with the black. But even the beige on the M3 doesn't cover the same areas as on the 335i.

I think I'll be sticking with black leather.

I have SpaceGrey with Fox Red and totally satisfied with my selection. If you change your mind to FR you will not regret it. Black interior has become an evident choice. FR puts additional spice to a beautiful sports car.

One man's "clash" is another man's "beautiful contrast" I guess...

In my opinion, the combination looks better than having all Fox Red. It would be too much. In fact, I don't like the extended Fox Red.

No.
And my first choice was silver.
Had it not been for this ebay fiasco, I would have never gotten FR.
Absolutely no regrets!

It seems like most cars that were ordered by customers got FR, very nteresting.

I mean I like the pics of FR that I've seen, but I just don't think it's as "classy" as soem of you said compared to black. I mean black is as basic, classic, and classy as you can get.

Red Interior

I have test driven a silver 08 with the red interior. My impression are its not bad but it would be much more attractive if it had a little more brown in it. Just so you know. there are numerous red interior M3's for sale around the country so that tells you something about their demand.

my initial choice was palladium silver, but my original CA (he quit his job before my car went into production) who also happens to be a friend and my girl friend persuaded (forced) me into ordering fox red. having driven a silver interior m3 before my car came, i have absolutely no regrets.. in fact i would have regretted ordering silver with my alpine white m3 after seeing fr in real life. and for the fr interior cars sitting around, isnt it because a lot of the dealers ordered their cars with FR?

That seems to be true, and what's strange is that dealers NEVER ordered IR on the E46, it virtually always had to be custom ordered. Not sure why the change of heart.

I love the combo of Space and FR, and being a Buckeye living in C-Bus, I doubt I will ever tire of it. So far, just lots of compliments on the combo, usually "classy" or "sporty."

I love the look of the Fox Red in person but my concern is wear and tear. Does red leather hold up over time or will it show wear easily? That is my biggest debate factor between red and black.

+1 in an otherwise quite plain and boring black interior I think the contrast makes a massive improvement to the M3.
