Replacing side belly pan felt covers

I've been searching and have come up empty. Anyone got a quick write up on replacing the front side felt belly pans (left and right)? I'm guessing it's pretty straightforward, but wanted to check before I jack up the front. Does the center belly pan and fender liners need to be loosened first?

TIA.

No you can leave the center part alone, the side pieces have to go in after the center piece is in so you don’t need to touch it and leave the fender liners alone too. It is straight forward just make sure you reuse the old clips because new ones will be way too tight and will spin and tear the felt when you try tightening the screws

Perfect, thank you. Good note on the old clips since I bought a bunch of new ones just in case!

Yea the new ones are useless. The screw will screw in half way then the whole clip will spin and tear a chunk off the felt. You can’t even tighten it enough to hold the pan on before it tears

Of course, now that I say that, I know I'm missing at least one of them, so that will be interesting.

You don’t NEED all of them the felt pan will be destroyed in about 18 months anyway. If you really want to try a new clip Drill the hole a little wider first

Thanks. I did come across that while searching but I already bought a left side pan replacement. Maybe once the next set gets ragged I'll replace the whole thing. The rest seems to be holding up ok. It's really just the left side.
