Aftermarket Oil Cooler?
Hey all. A friend of mine just shipped me anI E60 M5 oil cooler. I was hoping to see if I might be able to use it on my M3. Has anyone tried an aftermarket oil cooler? It looks like the connections are the same, I just don't know if I can mount it. I figured I'd give it a shot or try and trade it out for a CSF oil cooler.

You'll have a heck of a time getting an E60 oil cooler mounted up in an e9x. The S65 hoses connect to the OEM cooler at both ends, the S85 at only one end so you'll have to create custom hoses too. Even if you overcame those issues the e9x ducting wouldn't be right. Rather than try to reinvent the wheel just go with one of the existing solutions from a company like CSF or D088.
