No CEL from Test Pipes after 1500miles?

Hey guys,

I got test pipes done back in June and have since put over 1500 miles on the car and haven’t gotten a CEL error yet. As far as I am concerned, the car is bone stock in terms of a tune, unless the previous owner gave back the car to BMW with a tune on it, to which BMW proceeded to CPO the car.

Is this normal? Is there a way to tell if the car has a tune on it?

I've done ~270km/h with the car once (track), any other way of checking without breaking the law?

I got the service engine soon light after driving about 1000 miles. I have testpipes and no tune.

Update on the testpipes:

Still no CEL 3000 miles in. I got CEL for emissions for about half a day, then it disappeared while driving.

CPO means nothing. They take the car back, have it detailed and put it back on the lot. After being in the business for so long, I've seen dealers sell cars with JB4's still installed with the car cause it went unnoticed.
CPO is mostly a joke in Ontario dealerships and only a way for a dealer to make more money on a trade-in.
