Early Xmas for me. Ohlins R/T suspension question. What should I replace?

Hi all
First off super excited as this is my first major mod for suspension. I own a 94K mile 2011.75 e90 M3 ZCP with EDC. The question is there anything I should consider replacing while installing the ohlins? For example should I replace shock mounts or bumpstops etc? Will I need aftermarket swaybar endings? Finally what is the benefit of using adjustable camber plates? 90% will be for street and maybe 10% track if that matters. Thanks 8n advance!

I'm not sure about everything on your list of questions, but if you are going to track the car more than once or twice a year, the camber plates will absolutely help with front tire wear.
At the very least, pull the alignment pins and skootch the tops of the struts inboard, just that extra 0.7ish degrees of negative camber will help your tire life.

as Davisca455 said, a camber kit is a good ideal if you plan to do more tracking. I would also get rear shock mounts because the EDC mount has a slightly larger shaft. Ideally, I would buy everything I need so I do not have to dismantle the original EDC suspension so its a simple remove and replace full assemblies.

depending on the height you set, you may or may not need new endlinks. Ohlins R&T manual is set to ZCP height and many folks go lower than that.

If you're taking the suspension apart, I would definitely do the shock mounts at the same time. For fronts camber plates are good if you track a lot, else stock will be fine.

The rear shock mount is a soft foam material and I'm sure will be worn out. You can replace it with Monroe 907984 rubber mounts which are cheap and stiffer than stock.

The Öhlins kit comes with the spacers for both EDC and non-EDC shock mounts. However, if you are replacing the shock mounts, you may as well get the non-EDC mounts and avoid using the spacers.

I am going the R&T route, too. I found the monroe rear mounts, but can someone give me the part number for the front mounts? Unless I am completely blind, I can't seem to find them.

Also, is there any difference between these two kits?

Curious - if I have a E93 with EDC…and I plan on going the Ohlins R&T route:

1) Do I want to buy the non-EDC rear Munroe shock mounts linked above?
2) I, too, am unable to find EDC/Non-EDC front Munroe shock mounts. Anybody able to assist?
3) If lowering to 1-2 finger wheel gap on both front and back - do I need new endlinks? I think so (based on some research) - what would you all recommend for endlinks?

For context, I highly doubt I’ll ever track the E93.

The front is a coilover strut. You either reuse your stock strut mounts or buy camber plates to put on the struts. Only the rear has shock mounts. There is an upper and lower shock mount for the rear. I used Lemforder non-EDC mounts.

To the person that asked, factory swaybar end links work fine, I am running slightly lower than the "suggested" height by Öhlins in the front, and pretty close to the suggested height in the rear. I have no end link binding or noise that I have been able to hear.

Thanks! I ordered new OEM strut mounts from ECSTuning just to refresh them (after almost 14 years and 127k miles I figured it wouldn't hurt). Also, it looks like FCP just lowered their price on the Monroe kit to match the Amazon price. Weird timing for that.

you will need new end links, they will bend with any Coilover system.

get camber plates as iirc R&T doesn't come with any.

if you have EDC get the EDC model. the reason is the shock difference. EDC shock is 2mm taller than NON-EDC. although you can USE non-edc coil overs, you need to use a 10m shock mount.

I just had the Ohlins R&T installed last week with the Monroe rear upper shock mounts and OEM strut mounts. It is absolutely amazing and improves the car immediately. Just an FYI, you should buy new shock mount insulator sealing grommets (only costs $8 for the pair).

The R&T is such an upgrade over stock, and with the new shock mounts the back is so much more planted. I am still on winter tires, so I haven't pushed the car too hard. But the improvement is just so overwhelmingly obvious. I highly recommend this combination.

Oh, and I have the R&T set to 11/11 front/rear

Hey all. Just picked up öhlins RT non edc for my EDC M3. Had to buy the EDC cancellation kit to avoid annoying cluster warning lights. I am waiting on shipping for this prior to install. Any advice and links on which parts I should have on hand to complete a seamless install. I will not be tracking this car.

I bought these but it didn’t thread into my ohlins. I had to remove the nut from the shock mount and use the Ohlin supplied nut. Seemed to not match the thread pitch m10x1.25, anyone else experience this?
