Active autowerke Exhaust??????

Hey board! I'm just interested in the Active Autowerke System. I've seen pictures and fitment. However, I'm very curious about the sound and how it compares to the other exhausts such as the remus race and eisenmann race? Has anyone heard the AA exhaust in person? How loud is it compared to the others? Thanks alot in advance!

It is not suposed to be as loud as some others. It is a bolt on exhaust so you will not have to cut pipes to install it. That maters to those who want to be able to return the ar to stock easily.

You can se videos here:

The active exhaust is designed to be a noticeably deeper grumble over stock but maintain the level of comfort and usability of the car so it does not drone and is not overly obnoxious. I would classify it as a middle of the road exhaust, something you definitely notice but can easily be driven with everyday. Let me know if you need pricing information on the setup, we have these in stock

I have the AA Exhaust on right now. It is a great exhaust. Im not much of a flashy or "look at Me" person so I dont like the "loud" or "ricer" style of exhausts.

There are those here who want to make their M3 sound like an Italian sports car, this exhaust is NOT for you. There are those here who want to make their M3 sound like a V8 or V10 American Muscle Car, this exhaust is NOT for you. If you like the idea that you have to yell to be heard in the cabin or have to play your tunes a full volume so the car noise does not drive you nuts then this exhaust is NOT for you.

Now, if you want your car to have a throatier sound and have its overall exhaust note to sound "fuller and richer" then get the Active Autowerke exhaust. If you want the car to sound like a BMW and a bad ass BMW at that then get the Active Autowerke exhaust. If you want to be on the DL about exactly how much power your M3 has then get the AA exhaust. It has a great low rumble at idle and then explodes on full throttle yet for average cruising its not going to attract unwanted attention. I feel it is a bit more sophisticated than some competing brands for the e9x M3s. It is an option in which you cant go wrong with, plus its a bolt on and adjustable system and there is an x-pipe out soon to pair.

just my $0.02

Never heard Active's exhaust for the m3 in person but seen their 335i and m5 exhaust and its def. top notch. They def. turn out a great quality product. I also like how their tips are adjustable for the m3.

I think you should check out the videos to make an assessment on the sound you like.

Remus Race definitely - sounds very agressive - Video available here: http://www.**********s.com/product.a...aust_E92M3_MW3

Eisenmann Race - Check our the Vid: http://www.**********s.com/product.a...MANN_E92_M3_KY

All are great choices good build and quality.

I received massive strong resonance when RPM is under 1500 with this Active autowerke exhaust tail section,
which really made me pain in ears

I got the Remus Race with no cats or resonators and it sounds stupid loud, but thats what I was going for. Cruising is not too crazy but once you step on it and WOT is just race car loud.

active exhaust gives a different tone, not only due to drone chamber, but also because it is only exhaust on the market is 3 inch piping.

Do you have a gen 1 or 2? The gen 2 has Helmholtz chambers that are supposed to get rid of drone... just curious.
