Smile Looking for people with Bimmerworld Performance/Group N Motor Mounts

Wanted to get some feedback from people who have been running Bimmerworld Performance or Group N motor mounts for several thousand miles or more.

I'm mostly interested in hearing if the NVH stabilizes at a certain mileage or if they progressively get softer due to being rubber instead of hydraulic. When are the stiffer mounts most noticeable? I've read about some resonance at 2k rpm; does this eventually settle down? Also probably too early to tell but how is the lifetime of these compared to stock mounts?

Any general feedback is welcomed too. Hoping to install my BW Performance mounts in the next couple months so I'd like to be aware of the benefits and idiosyncrasies, TIA

I was under the impression that if you raised your idle to 1k, most of the additional nhv would be gone

It would suck to have to spend $1000 on a tune to raise the idle by 300 rpm. I tried Rogue mounts, but there was too much NVH for my daily driver car. From playing around with rpm via the accelerator, it seemed to me that most of the issue was gone before 1000 rpm. I sold them and went to new stock mounts.

I just did throttle actuator gears, ICV and fuel purge valve leaving my idle noticeably smoother than before; this even with my blown hydro mounts. I'm wondering if that wont make it more tolerable..

I have the Bimmerworld motor mounts on my E46M3. Have had them there for several years, but low miles (12k miles maybe...). Vibration has not calmed down at all. 1k rpm smooths things out, but at idle, it's very noticeable.

I have the Bimmerworld motor mounts for a year now, roughly 15k miles and the NVH from new till now hasn't really change. The increased NVH wasn't ridiculous to begin with, I mean you'll notice that they are stiffer mounts but Im sure its not as bad as having the Derlin/aluminum mounts.

I've sat in a car with the BimmerWorld Group-N mounts and noticed absolutely no difference whatsoever.

I'm at 15,000 miles too. When I first installed them my response was, "wow, those are stiff." However, over the next few weeks (my car is a daily, 55 miles every day) they will soften up quite a bit. Yes, they are firmer than stock most noticeable when just starting to drive off at very low rpm, low load, with just a bit more vibration.

No need to change idle speed whatsoever. Overall, a very good product and minimal compromise in terms of noise and vibration. Would do it again if given the choice.

Could also be that they are smoother with a DCT than a 6MT. I ran the BW mounts on my 99M3 for a couple of years and had no complaints but that car ran 850 rpm idle instead of 550 rpm. I think a few hundred more rpm idle smooths things out. But that must be done in the tune.

These hydro mounts look outmatched for our glorious V8s. Can't wait to get these stiffer mounts in. I'd like to hear your impressions when you get them installed nholmes.

Thing is, BMW decided to leave out the steel heat shields. They had them on the E36, why skimp on the hotter motor and especially since the exhaust headers are a mere two inches away?!

Costs? Weight savings? Seems pretty lame.

I'm fabricating aluminum shields for these.

I've been running a set for over 5k miles

They're nice. Some NHV at idle but if you raise it to 950rpm then you're golden. Driving around they introduce little to no NHV

I'm over 40,000 miles on mine now. No problem whatsoever. Nice gentle vibration through the steering wheel at idle but otherwise perfectly fine.

I have them and love them, as far as NVH at idle there may be the slightest amout of rattle, or it could be a 85k miles car showing its age.

after that they're perfect car definitely feels better with them over stock mounts

Check out the revshift 80d engine mounts. They broke in nicely, within 500 miles of install.

I tried rogue engine mounts and removed them due to Vibration at idle. I tried revshift 80A trans mounts and removed them due to vibration in the 2300-3000 rpm range. I ran the revshift trans mounts for a year — they did not “break in.”
