Just back from my ED (pics added!)
I literally walked in to my house less than 30 minutes ago.
Whirl wind trip to Munich and the surrounding environs. In short, damn am I ever glad I went with an M3 even though I was only able to test drive a 335is. I'm hugely impressed with this car, and dropping her off with one of the keys at the airport drop off location felt like entrusting someone with one of my organs. The Welt and BMW Museum are amazing. Initially inspiring, but the attention to detail and staff keep impressing day in day out. I'll write more later, but I'm starting the count up from ED to redelivery, and I'm going to need a support group for sure because the 95 days up to ED were nothing compared to the next 45 days I can tell... Cheers Pics: I'm the hairy one looking a little bedazzled: Didn't notice I had spun my camera setting knob, so I apologize for the poor pics inside the welt. I was too giddy: The BMW Office, and BMW Museum in the background: Again: Once more with feeling: The Rear 3/4: Some light bahnstorming: EDIT (again): Cell phone interior shot in good light: //lh6.googleusercontent.com/_H59ZfmkG3eY/TYN1cE3KOXI/AAAAAAAAEfc/smo-oUdNe4k/s912/IMG_4973.JPG[/IMG] James / Now 'Converted'

Congrats on picking up the car! Sounds like you had fun.
But I have to agree, starting a thread without pics is really weak. Not your best work...... |

Hey Mark, did you drop off your car in Garching? When I checked in at The Welt they gave me a new Munich drop off location at the airport operated by a company login logout or something very similar. I'm paranoid now as I haven't heard any reference to using them before.

My replacement E90 M3 is on the way with Jerez B and ZCP like yours and I cant wait to see your pics. I've had my current M for 4+ so months, driven mostly in the winter but I never tire of seeing or driving it. Luckily, as per the Consumer Reports its been a very reliable car with no issues to report. From an ownership perspective you've definitely made the right choice!!!

Very nice! Tell the cute baby not to slobber on your new car . My youngest is 4 and he's pissed when I take his shoes off so he doesn't scuff the seats.

PS - if you think waiting for the car to be delivered in Canada is long, the 2K break-in/1st service is even worse....

I can imagine. I'm part way there already, not a lot, but a little. I anticipate I'll do the rest in two weeks, barring any work travel that interrupts my fun.

Looks stunning James. The JB/FR combo is outstanding. Love the 7MA/ZCP on our E90s... But I think some spacers may be in order? Let the modding begin in 44 days! Any more parts on order?

I have the Tint & Clear Bra guy lined up for a soon as the car is back in Ottawa, but no other mods planned. I'll likely figure out a way of routing a USB cable from the glove box in to the ashtray area to charge my BlackBerry. But I'm hoping that's less a mod, and more a discovery in the art of wiggling a coat hanger with a tapped on cable. I think before any big mods I'll search for a set of grey OEM 18's for next winter.

Good luck with the BB cable fishing. Haven't seen a DiY on that yet. There's a USB port in the center arm rest as well - maybe an easier route?
