I still haven't gotten anything. Looks like my dealer hasn't had their first order accepted by AG, besides the promo car. So, their number one slot hasn't gone through yet.
Shoot...You're #2?

Yes, #2 since Newbold sold their demo car, but I guess really the number #1 allocation.

That's great news that you've got the order in.

Epacy: I'll be watching very closely for when yours goes into production...mine should be right after you. Hopefully it's only a few weeks out. (fingers crossed)

I don't know. Xcellere's car went into production awhile ago and still no movement on mine.

Keep in mind there are 3 steps:

1. Succesful order placement with BMW (111)
2. Production date assignment (112)
3. Production (150)

So, E might very well be at 112 when you get your 111, and so on. Or, you guys might even get your 111s at the same time.

Yeah, I was feeling the same way...until I wrote Tim, who reassured me. So until I get word, I'm not going to focus on the car... I'm actually trying to stay off of this site too.

As far as I know, I am not even at status 111.

Thankfully Newbold gave me their demo, otherwise I'd still be waiting.

So, I emailed my dealer today and asked for more info as I'm status 111 since my order went through on 1/28 without a production date and the so-called 19" induced delay talk is floating around the forum. He told me, as of today, my production date is looking very much like mid-March (that is consistent with GregW's 3 week 111->112 and 2 week 112->150 experience), which would mean that I would get the car mid-April. I told him that is okay, but kind of borderline since I'll be gone for a couple of months during the summer, and if delivery slips into May, I'd rather order a MY09 for September production. It seems that I'm pretty set for mid-April delivery though. 2 more months. Uuuugghhhh..........

Mid-April sounds good. Hopefully, this wheel thing will be resolved very quickly.

MY2009 models will come in as soon as Sept.? Yeah, after I just typed that, I realized that they will. WTF our cars will be a year old before we know it.

What are your options? I'm too lazy right now to look through threads. I rather sit at the computer, pound a few Heinekens and eat some wasabi nuts.

Since I am not even that far along that puts me that much further out.
Unreal. My dealership hasn't even got their #1 allocation date set. What is going on???? I am going mad! This is drawing out too long.
My dealer is getting a sedan before they get a production number for their #1 coupe allocation.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure MY 2009 production will begin late August or September.

My options are to wait and see if they can stay true to mid-April delivery, and if they can't and it looks like it's slipping into May, to pass on this particular allocation and re-order in August.

Apart from that, I'm sitting in front of the computer drinking French wine and eating a burrito.

Huh? That's strange man. If I end up passing on this, you can have it. For you my friend, it will be $500!

That's a good plan, but I meant vehicle options.
