Question Status 111 with no production date?

I have an "accepted" order in the system with a production number at Status 111, but no production date. What does this mean exactly? That I am now in some kind of ordering line BMW manages as opposed to the one my dealer manages?

My dealer wasn't very informative about it, and said he doesn't yet know when I will be assigned a production date.

Does status 111 mean you have a production # at least?

111 essentially means BMW AG have accepted your order spec ... so congrats. It shouldn't take too long for it to move to 112 .... scheduled for production.

Finally once it "flips" and goes to 150 production begins and no more changes to the order.

My guess is that they dont have a car ready for you to go into production with. At least your in status 111. I have my options and spec finalized with my guy but im not even in the system yet.

I've been stuck wih status 111 as well, ever since I've placed my order 3 weeks ago. I can't wait for it to move on!

Thanks. That's what I also thought.

I don't want to wait for another 9-12 months to be able to test drive DCT properly. I'll buy a DCT car in 2-3 years if I decide I want it. I know I'll enjoy this car immensely with 6MT, and DCT might prove to be a nice addition with time.

congrats...I just got "the call" today as well. My CA says I have a production date. Unfortunately I was busy in the OR and couldn't talk. He said to call back this afternoon to spec my car.

Can you let me know when you get a production date assigned by posting here or sending me a PM so that I can get a sense of how long that takes? Thanks.

how many allocations does your dealership have? next time you stop by your dealer ask to see the order status chart and you can look up all the cars that they have on order and what process the vehicles are in. My sales rep is a good friend of mine so I get to meddle in all the paperwork

I agree that this probably has something to do with the dealer's total allocations. My rep is pretty clueless about all this and has to go check with his manager each time I ask him a question, so I suspect I won't be able to get much out of him. But then I am assuming BMW would not let dealers enter more cars into the BMW system than its manufacturing schedule can deal with, so I am hoping the build date assignment will not take too long so that I can soon!

You should have a production number at 111. That's how they will track you order. Your car gets a VIN when it enters the body shop.

I was at status 111 for about 2 weeks and have been at 112 for 3 weeks. I expect to go to 150 any time!

Yep, I've got a production number.

You should be really excited about your car being built!

I just checked owner's circle, and the all of my options are showing up except for the 19" wheels. Is that normal? Can you guys see the 19"ers on your order online if you've ordered them?

Yes this is normal. 19" wheels dont show up on owners circle order tracking for whatever reason.

Wow, good to see everyone is getting their spots, and jumping in!

I still haven't gotten anything. Looks like my dealer hasn't had their first order accepted by AG, besides the promo car. So, their number one slot hasn't gone through yet.
