If you had no ps below 10mph that indicates you're losing pressure. Might have cooked the fluid. Was it foamy?

Tried to vinyl wrap my strut braces and it didn't work out. Started to crinkle when I tightened them down. No bueno.

If you have PS fluid on the belts it will slip and you won't have power steering

I had previously run it 3 track days with low fluid and whining, and recently just replaced the reservoir + added the 3D Design part. Got a turkey baster type tool today via Amazon Prime Now, will try replacing the seemingly boiled fluid with some fresh CHF 11S. Also ordered parts from FCP Euro for a new pump, hoses, reservoir (filter is inside, current one may contain bits), etc. Oh well shit.. will it just dry up on its own? |

I never turn down a pass...even when going into a slow 180. I did get sideways but he still had plenty of room on the outside.
Damn fuel starvation prevented a flawless getaway!

What PS fluid are you guys running that's boiling? You're using CHF 11S, right?

I think you're onto something... good news is I went downstairs to check how the power steering is as it has sat overnight. Started it up, and I have some power steering assist back up and running even when parked. Yesterday, it was no assist at all! Took a brief look at the belts, they looked dry, but I can imagine some fluid might have sprayed down there.
Then I went and used a turkey baster to empty the reservoir. Fluid looked like it has some shiny particles in it (pump guts?) and had a little bit that looked milky-ish, almost gray. Overall it looked like a very dark green. Put in some fresh CHF 11S, started the car, did a few turns, and parked again. Removed fluid from reservoir again, and refilled with fresh fluid. Pictures of the removed fluid attached - the lower fluid level bottle is the initially removed fluid, higher level bottle is the second time I removed fluid. Still going to commit to the power steering pump replacement as I already made an order on FCP Euro. |

So I've seen the center stripe steering wheel - now you with the two stripes. Is that like a two is one, one is none thing, line it up between the two and let her rip sort of deal?

Anyone got any suggestions for a good 'set and forget' street and track alignment? Yes I know I will be compromising both slightly. I'm thinking 2.5ish degrees camber upfront, plus whatever I can get in the rear with ride height set around 20mm lower than stock. I only do around 5-6k miles a year so a bit of inside tire wear isn't an issue.

Yea.. I run more miles total per year yet I run -3.5 front camber and -2.0 rear. My street tires do not show excessive inner wear yet, and my track tires wear very evenly.
Weekend + track use car, seems fine. |

Gotcha. Are you running any toe? For -2.0 rear are you running adjustable rear camber links etc.?
