What is an alternative to M3 coupe?

Had my white M3 coupe for four years now. Absolutely love it. However after 4 years I really feel that I would like to try something new. Not to mention, there are weird little glitches with the car (there's some brake resistance as the car slows and also gear grind sounds at high gear) that the dealer is not really addressing. Warranty is coming to an end etc.

So the real question is, what's considered a competitor to the M3? I don't like the M4. It doesn't look as good. I can't anything in the market that is comparable!

In the same league and price range, I'd say C63 AMG, RS-4/5, CTS-V

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=874227

Different price range and somewhat comparable performance, 911, used GT-R, used Aston Martin.

Also Depends on how you use the car, daily driver, executive sedan, track etc. Really, M3 is the best all around car and that's why most people have hard times finding its replacement, and many in this forum somehow find their way back to the M3.

Personally, I'd choose a Porsche GT3

The 2014 Cayman S is extremely attractive, and I'd seriously consider getting one. Too bad the base price is a sham... once you option it up to any decent level, you're in the high 80K range. Well optioned, and you're crossing 100K. Fully optioned, the price of the options will exceed the base price. Typical Porsche, but still...

Same price range then Id say rs5 or c63. If you are willing to pay a little more then used 911 or GTR.

RS5 (though it will be worse and more boring)
C63
991C2S
997.2 GT3
991.1 GT3

In all honesty, if you're the type who really pushes an M3 hard, the first 2 to 3 cars on that list will bore you in no time. My dream is a GT3/RS.

keeping your car and addressing nagging issues will be cheaper than something new. just saying.

Other (left-field) options

Lexus IS-F
Jaguar F-Type
Lotus Evora S

Used Cayman R or 911 would be my choice though if you can tolerate a used car.
