Looks fantastic, great color combo, love the rust brown!

Congratulations, truly a one of a kind M3

What are current E92 Comp tire sizes in the rear? 275s?

Nice car..... I was just there not too long ago.

I am digging the ZHP shifter. Does it light up like the M one?

This is the way that you build a custom M3, dammit... Individual in and out.

We do have full access to the Individual Program in the USA, you have to ask seriously about it and your dealer have to ask seriously for it to BMWNA.

This is not for everybody to mess around and order cars that then will not be picked up for stupid reasons...

yeah that does make sense....the interior is gorgeous on Mark's car. That lasered ///M is like the cherry on top, but i miss the Cinnamon from the E46. The Monaco Blue looks a lot like Le Mans does in bright light.

Spectacular..

Best M3 I've seen. Subtle/Stylish/Classy. Love the Rust Interior as well as the exterior. Attention to detail is great--contrasting stitching on the seats/M logo. Couldn't bring myself to ante up the cost of Individual color--what is it $5 K for exterior--and is it an additional cost--?another 5 K for the interior mods? Would have loved Avus Blue/Cinnamon, but went with rather more mundane IB/Bamboo Beige/Sycamore Anthracite combo with ZCP--love the wheels. I did Euro Delivery & dropped off car on 4/17. Boat docked in NY on 5/12 and car now is at Prep Center--hoping to get it soon--perhaps next week.

That is an awesome interior/exterior choice... even shift knob seems a bit lowered, and the car definitely lowered,- 10mm lower is visible.

Thanks for posting the story!

Hey Mark.

I really loved youre write up. Things i see for granted "normal" you told like its just cool and unique to do. Thnx for letting me see that again.
That mountainroads and narrow tunnels must been a hell, with your beautifull m3. I think i would have the same heartattacks. Especially because those frensh and itallian drivers drive like maniacs hehe.
A Fill up for my 328i here in holland is a nightmare. 1,50euro per liter. About 95euro for a full tank.

Thnx again for the write up ! I loved it!

Guys, thanks again for the comments, I changed my specs a dozen times before making final decisions but I'm extremely happy with the end result, especially the short shift with ZHP knob - the idea came from this forum by the way and all the positive comments I read.

To replicate it, there's no problem, the shift kit and ZHP knob are in the BMW parts bin and all of the DIYS instructions are here in the forum. I figured I'd get done at the factory rather than the dealership or me and it wasn't really that much. I miss the car already, envy most all of you who have theirs in their hands!!

Do the M3, it's really as fantastic as everyone has said. And a couple of the members already answered your question.....much more latitude with Individual in Canada than the U.S. Don't ask why, you guys have a much bigger market. BTW, I asked about future availability of MC Blue and the response was "Not for Canada, it's now restricted." But for the U.S......if BMWNA approves the order, Munich will do it!!

If you just try and adopt an attitude of "it's a once and a lifetime opportunity", I think you would have enjoyed yourself much more!

Anywho, I hope you enjoy your car, and you'll probably be one of the one people with 19'' ZCP winters
Believe me, after that trip, I'm chilled out. And the stressed out part....just some of the time (and it was entertaining stress in retrospect) but I reasoned exactly as you described above and the difficult parts are going to be that much more memorable.

So true...but it's still gonna be "my baby"

Well I think it's about 4K on both sides of the border, that's what it is here anyways. I had a bit more added. All I can say is that it was "dear" but what the hell.

Well this has to be one of the best write ups for a ED that I have seen. You described everything very very well and told the story in a way that had me smiling and even laughing at times. The car looks awesome!! Thank you for sharing your experience in such a descriptive story telling manner. I hope to do the same one day. Cheers!

Amazing car and congrats. The experience documentation was great - the attention to detail by the BMW M folks is very cool - like the Rolls Royce built keychains and case.

I especially enjoyed reading your concerns about driving the car sans 3M and the reprieve one gets only after completing a thorough wax job yourself.

Can't wait to see the car with the black wheels.
