Will the idrive control an aftermarket stereo or is that section dead if the stock one is replaced?

Hey srjasmith, what are you after? if you are after good sounds, you can actually use the stock stereo system and just add some component to it. everything else remain stock. go to http://www.reusaudio.com/ call and talk to rick or cliff, tell them tristan sent you. they specialize in tuning the factory system and make it sound better than the logic7. I can tell you this, if the stock system is a 3 and the logic7 is a 5, your system will be a 9 after they work on it. (just my opinion!) if you are in OC So.Cal. i'll be more than happy to let you listen to my system.

What did they change on urs specifically? and how much did it cost?

I got the stage II setup. They added a DSP and 1 Amp. They used all the stock speakers, but they changed the stock tweeters to reus tweeters, added reus center channel mids and highs, added reus 3D surround channel. They also added a subwoofer that is hidden and you cant even tell that its there. I am extremely happy with the result. I think the stageI starts at around 3K.

What you really want to do? Is your sound system the standard system (HiFi) or the Premium Audio?
