Rod bearing replacement in central VA?
So I've been lurking this site for an eternity, and about 2 months ago finally bought my first E92 M3. I knew going into this I would need to find "someone" to do a preventive rod bearing replacement. What I didn't research very well is who that someone would be in my area! Lol
I'm about to send my first oil sample to Blackstone labs. According to my carfax the last oil change was about 6,500 miles ago. And have decided regardless the results I'd sleep better(drive harder) knowing I took care of a potential disaster! I'm in Lynchburg VA, and would like to find someone close, but willing to travel to work with someone that has done this and knows the concern a new M owner has and the need to feel like the job was done right. I can't be the only guy in my area that has dealt with this. Can I get some recommendations from the group please? |

like yourself, I also picked up an 11 e90 M3 with about 69k and am at the point where I need to get this done as well. Im up in Nova and it seems like RRT is the best place to do it as they do this job on a regular basis and really know these cars better than most. I was quoted 2550 from them using BE bearings but oem rod bearing bolts with all the things they need to change out.
