FS: Stop Tech Brake Pads

Hey folks,

I've got a set of lightly-used Front and Rear Stop Tech brake pads for sale if anyone is interested.

Only on the car for ~3,000kms... buckets of life left, great bite and significantly less dust than the OEM textar pads.

Open to any reasonable offer... pick up preferred due to weight.

Yeah, absolutely but the unfortunate thing is we are on the opposite sides of the continent which kind of complicates things!

How do you find the Akebono ceramics compared to OEM - and do you still have the part numbers for front and back?

Love the OEM pads for street driving, but hate the dust.

Being just about dust free as you could hope, they are a godsend; quiet too, much like OEM. They do have a different feel to the OEM pad as they definitely have slightly less initial bite but honestly you won't notice with regular street driving once you get to know the feel of them. They are not a pad that will give you the ultimate braking performance on a track day. They take a bit of time to bed in and I think the braking is great when you need to call on it, can't complain. Overall, very satisfied and can recommend them for daily driving.

Available as a kit here > https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-M3...ads/ES2718208/ Part no. EUR918 (front); EUR919 (rear)

Sorry for off topic!

hmm I personally found the stoptech street performance pads to be very low dusting after a week of so of driving?

Where did you get the Akebonos from?
I was thinking about getting them as well. Or maybe I should grab your stop techs.

So what’s the concensus for the Akebono pads? Can it withstand even like light track days with fluids upgraded? About $75 seperating the Akebono and StopTech.

I've used them on the track with a fluid upgrade and they held up fine for me but I wasn't pushing super hard. I do think the stop techs are suited for heavier track use though if that's your intention...
