Eclipse Motors in The Great White North: E92 M3 Prep
Eclipse Motors was recently flown up to Edmonton, AB Canada where we spent two days prepping a brand new E92 M3. The car was in poor condition for having only two miles on the odometer. There was evidence of wet sanding, swirl marks, and even several RIDs. We also installed camaross305's HID angels for the owner.
Lesson to be learned: NEVER let the dealer prep your brand new car. Press the dealer not to touch your car and find a quality detailer that can make your car perfect before it ever hits the streets. Next month we'll be flying to Dubai, UAE to prep a few exotics. Pictorial: http://www.eclipse-motors.com/2thdr.html Taking off from LAX: Apparently the dealer tried (and failed) to wet sand the passenger side fender: Passenger side fender corrected: Reflection in hood after correction: Completed: |

marvelous job. That car got some serious orange peel on the fender but the hood looks like a mirror.

Eric, hopefully you don't mind me chiming in. The car is actually mine. I really became a fan of Eric's work, but more importantly his attention to detail and out mutual adherence to the tenets of OCDism (a word?).
There are a lot of people who thought I was nuts, but without a doubt, having Eric detail the car was not only an awesome experience for me, but an investment for the car. For everyone in the US, and especially in California, you are lucky that it is easier to bring Eric in to detail your new, or even used vehicle. |
