If you mean the M3 is a better DD that's not much of a surprise but I just put the watch to my GTR yesterday and you can't tell me a stock M3 can touch a stock GTR. Turbos love cooler weather
Using a Racelogic Vbox:

0-60 2.9seconds
0-100 6.9 seconds
0-150 16.7 seconds
60-130 8.8 seconds
1/4 mile 11.1 seconds at 126mph

You can increase the sensation of speed with a good exhaust!

I think this video illustrates the difference between the 2 cars when it comes to spirited driving.

Impressive! The cars with faster laps times had either race tires or slicks!

Do you drive your GT-R during the winter? How it is in the snow? Can you remove the front splitter for better clearance?
Thanks

it doesnt snow where i live but there are plenty of owners that drive them in the snow. With some snow tires they seem to do just fine

you shouldnt have to remove the splitter if you run stock suspension

yeah sorry I should clarify.

As a normal car driven at moderate speeds on public roads, i found it was possible to have more fun in the m3.

driven in anger, the gtr definitely comes into its own. when given the chance to extend its legs, you really get a sense of how much the quicker the gtr is at gather speed, its also very "confidence inspiring" in quick corners. Would love to track one given the chance.

GT-R to Tower, requesting permission for take off.

Also, Sakred what tires were you on and what speed were you doing in turn 1 and 2. I am going to the Roval event in a few weeks with my GT-R.

9.98 is no joke. You can give most sport bikes a run.

i assume from your username that you own/owned a 997 GT3. could you compare your GTR with it in terms of daily driveability?

i will never sell my GT3, but it is a handful to drive every day for a week. i am strongly considering adding a GTR but i'm afraid that i'll end up with two similar cars

I've owned em all... and honestly... I'd like to own an M3 again... it was a very fun car to drive... I just couldn't stand the anemic torque down low. I'm anxiously awaiting the TT version coming soon... for now... I'm driving that AMG German Camaro... and loving every minute of it. No car has a better sounding exhaust from the factory... and the TQ is just insane. My next car will either be a ZR1 or a TT CLS/E63... polar opposites I know. I look forward to getting a GTR again and an M3... I just like owning different makes, and enjoying what each of them have to offer.

Peace,
Dave

Unfortunately no. I was about to buy one a couple of years back but the dealer I was using was dishonest and started playing games.
All I can offer is perspective from a few test drives. From that, I would say they not very much alike and you wouldn't be in danger of having two similiar cars.
