So the tolerances will be slightly different for sure. When you get those 5mm spacers you should try one on that side to see how it changes your turning angle. It make end up in a spot it won't rub but will have to test. It's all part of the beauty of modding! Lol |

I should have done some more research on the tire sizing because I just found a thread that confirms how 265/40/18 in the fronts won't work with 18x9.5 spec. There seems to be two options: 1) go with 255/40/18s in the front or 2) downsize the front wheels to 18x9 and keep current front tires. In terms of money saving, 2nd option sounds more sensible but I'd have to sell the two front wheels which may be a headache.
Or, with my car sitting at stock height, and if I avoid full turn to right, maybe this won't cause any issues other than wearing out a bit of layer off the fenderwell. With this set-up purchased for winter season, I can ride this out for the next few months and then swap out to another set with correct tire sizes. However, I'm somewhat concerned that the rubbing will wear down the fenderwell and create an opening that will cause further damage to the reservoir area. |

It's the outer edge of the front tire rubbing against the spot shown in the pics. Looks like this happens when the wheel is turned in the right direction. I didn't notice this until this AM and the mark on the lining looks very fresh. I think this started to happen as the suspension settled after installing the wheel (suspension lifted and settled over last few days of driving). Also, I noticed very thin layer of plastic built-up from the tire rubbing against it which I was able to peel off with ease. There is still a good deal of plastic integrity when I pushed against the rubbing spot. I hope it will stop at some point and not completely rub off and create an opening.

I also ran this setup with 275 square on the EC7s 18 inch.. no longer rubbed but seems like you're are just making themselves at home and will probably stop soon... if there is a hole in there makes no difference... won't cause any issues and not a lot of dirt gets in there anyway ...

Looking great - Rear 3/4 is definitely the best angle.
Wheels are looking pretty flush. I also rub on occasion in the front right when backing at full left lock…have just decided to accept it. Merry Christmas to both of you and your families. Cheers!
