What's better than one M3? Well two, of course.

I began searching for a replacement for my E92 M3 as it started to get near 72k miles - about six months ago. I cannot say enough about the enjoyment the platform gives me and that they are the last of the "analog" BMWs. Nor do I take for granted that I am in the position to go down this rabbit hole.

My intent was to buy another one as a "forever car" with a few requirements - later build E90, single owner, southern car, under 35k miles and ZCP.

After a few false alarms, questionable histories and some lack of timing on my part, luck finally turned my way. I stumbled upon a recently traded E90 M3 (33k miles, slicktop, extender leather) at a dealership in the Midwest that checked all of the boxes (and then some). Reached out to the dealer and had what I thought was a stellar deal wrapped up by the evening. The only thing I wasn't confident on was the Silver Novillo leather - which I am enjoying more with each day (very German color palette).

So, now I am torn with keeping both cars. Either way, the carbon fiber roof on the E92 needs to be stripped and recleared. My though process now is to sell the E92 and get another daily driver, but my indecisiveness is getting the best of me.

All of us on this forum are fortunate to enjoy these balanced performance machines.

Why don’t you want to drive an E9xM3? Would the E9xM3 be your back up beater car while you drive something more fun like a 911 Turbo or GT3? Or would you rather drive a beater like an old Toyota Camry or Jeep Cherokee every day while your fun car is parked in a garage?

My wife is a fan of the E9x being a garage queen and getting something like a Wrangler or Defender as a daily driver. My commute is minimal so it's more of a function of just avoiding Florida drivers.

I don’t see the value in keeping 2 so similar.
Would be another story if one was a track build or ultra low mile garage queen. But these are both street, drivers cars.
If you only had the E90, would you be interested in buying an E92 like yours for about what you could sell it for? Probably not, so it probably doesn’t make sense to keep it either.

I have (non-practical) dreams of owning two. One for the street (E90) and one for the track (E92) but I dont see the value in having two similar spec street driven ones.
Contrary to that, if it makes you happy and you can afford it then do it. That's what life is about!
