Wait, what is this $1,000 incentive you are referring to? Any details?
Did you find out about the gas guzzler tax?

Is this a bad time for a good ED price?

Hi;
Looking at ED vs. US delivery. The cost differential between them isn't as large as I thought it would be.
Is there a reason for this?
I will likely go ED for the experience.

I am looking at a space gray/red novillo with carbon-leather trim.
DCT
Comp, conv and cold weather packages.
Sat radio and upgraded sound. Apps.

Thx!

Contact Ryan Amico with Steve Thomas BMW. He's an expert on ED.

Most likely you will see the cost rise a touch due to cars are coming out of the dealers US allocation and not being offered to the dealer as a free allocation. So a dealer will most likely try and get more money for ED to offset the loss of a US allocation.

Oh, I get it. Thanks, GOLFFRR!
What does the difference means in real dollars; is it measured in hundreds or thousands?

no problem, I am not sure on the pricing difference that something you would have to shoot over to Checa (fortiz@stevethomasbmw.com) and she can give you a quote on both

Canadian ///M, sorry for the delay in posting (as response to my earlier statement on the $1k credit), I was thinking of the earlier Spring credit. This is no longer available. Instead replaced with $750 loyalty. Loyalty would only be available if you had financed or leased a BMW within the last 12 months.

From the information that you posted on your deal, great buy price!

Coming from your modified G, you could always add a SC to the M3.

Did the dealer provide you with an estimated delivery date? Perhaps it was stated earlier. If so, I missed it.

Ordered a while ago but made a few changes and haven't posted in this thread yet. Anyway, here's what I've got coming my way:

2013 M3 Coupe
Jerez Black
Black Novillo
Carbon Leather Trim
Moonroof (go ahead, let me have it - not changing!)
M-DCT
ZCP
ZPP
Enhanced Premium Sound
Satellite Radio
BMW Apps
Heated Seats
Auto High Beams

MSRP: $75,545
Invoice: $68,705
Selling Price: $69,305 (Invoice + $600)
USAA Discount: $1,000

Final cost: $68,305... $400 under invoice!! This price doesn't include gas guzzler but does include destination and MACO. I'm pretty happy with the deal and our CA has been great to deal with. We've bought several BMWs from him before so maybe that helped a bit. Although the price could always be lower.

Scheduled for 1st week of August production.

Hi GOLFFRR;
Yup, have been in touch with Francesca. Very easy to work with.
I am going with ED (local dealer). I will be less than 1 hour from Munich in early October so...
Should be great fun to drive with the locals! Plan to have my son fly in from Budapest to join me as part of his "educational experience"!
Guess I will have to change my user name.
Thanks!

The difference is about $4200 in base MSRP, I believe. Plus no MACO/training fees, so that's getting close to $4800? That's quite a bit, in my book. That's about $100 extra a month, you're gonna notice that.

Go for ED, it's freaking awesome.

You are a few hundred invoice. Not a bad deal for domestic delivery. Good luck with your color choice. Mineral white will look great with FR. If you are going with 6 MT I hope you get a smooth gearbox because vast majority of them are notchy as hell, especially from 1st to 2nd. Good luck.

Invoice on your car is about $70,000. At $72,150, your paying about $2,000 over invoice. You should be able to get this car for about $600 over invoice or $70,600. If you're entitled to $1,000 discount on top of that then you should be able to buy this car for for $69,600. See BMWconfig.com. You might want to follow GOLFFRRs advice.

Unfortunately it's a little late for me. I ordered back in June and my BMW is already in transit somewhere over the Atlantic.

I hope I did not dampen your enthusiasm for the car. In case there is any doubt in your mind, you're getting a beautiful machine which is a pleasure to drive. And there are so many great roads in the bay area you can have fun on. Over the long haul, that, not so much cost, is the important thing. At least that the way it seems to me.

Nope, not at all. I already knew the invoice was around $70k'ish, and thought the price I paid was reasonable. This is a BMW M3 after all, if I really wanted to pinch my pennies, I would have bought a used Toyota.

Being from the bay area also, I asked each bay area dealer for a quote. You are ballpark for the region. They all started 2-3K above invoice and the lowest they'd go for me (over email) was 1.5K over invoice. I had to go out of the area to find a better price.
