Body shop near NYC?

The inevitable finally happened and my garage screwed up my car. It looks like they backed it up with the door open and hit something. Big debt on the open edge and a crease across the door. Anyone have a recommendation on a good body shop? I have used Phils Auto Body on LI in the past with good results but wanted to see who others have used

You cant go wrong with Martino. They perfectly matched my mtech bumper for my AW 335. Any paint job for my M will be done by Martino. Make sure you get the tour of their facility!

I went by for an estimate. It's quite a place. Definitely makes you feel confident when an M6, M5 and Ferrari are up on the lifts

Finally got the car back last week. Took a while, and was pretty expensive, but MAC did a great job! Everything looks like the car is brand new again!

I actually find their pricing very fair. Have you ever bothered to price their work against another comparable shop? Or are you just guessing?

not just guessing spoke directing to two guy's at martino's they gave me a price. my guy beat it by a lot.Like i said you have to check out the low key guys those are the one's that are going to go all out to make a statement. There's more than just one shop that know how to do great custom work.

You will always find someone who will do a job cheaper. If cost is all you're worried about go for it. I do a lot of estimating for a living as a builder of custom homes. I bid a lot of stuff out to multiple companies and most price very close, but sometimes you get someone who's number is very different than the others. Usually when you look close enough something is always missing. Not saying this is the case for you. But go ask 3 or 4 comparable shops the same question as you did MAC and I'll bet you find their price is very fair. But no question, you can always find the one man shop that will do a job cheaper..... this is across the board in all industries.

your absolutely correct but not all place that are expensive do the best work just because they pay high rent.In an expensive area.(not saying martino does not do great work.)
