M3 Vert and M-DCT Launch (happening?)

I thought the 29th was the magic day. Not sure if that means 29th in Europe or in the US. It is now early morning 29th in Europe. One forum member SMSgt B should be on his way to get his car. No magazines have announced anything about any first drives scheduled for the 29th. Is there going to be a BMW press event? Maybe I am jumping the gun by a few hours but seems pretty quiet (depresssing) to me. Thoughts?

29 March 2008, A day I will never forget....

In 1 hour, my wife and I are heading to the train station to take us to Wurzburg. This is gonna be the slowest 3 hour train ride of my life but the end will be worth every minute.

Today is the official release date for the military sales program ... 135i, mini clubman, and M3 coupe/sedan. Not sure about the vert.

Pics and write up will be coming later, unless we are still out driving until midnight

Man O Man...I cant freaking wait to get some real driving reviews of M-DCT! Once I have something solid, and it sounds good, I can finally put in my Order for M-DCT......

What is quite unfortunate is that all responsible drivers will be adhering to a break in schedule which will delay our reviews of WOT upshifts and launch control. Oh well, we will probably hear something soon from a magazine.

My salesman said i could order(one of the 1st spots at my dealer) an e93 vert with dct at week 19(may 5) production. Now he's saying he can only order the vert in manual transmission right now and he will let me know as soon as dct is available on the vert. Does anyone know what he's talking about? and when ill be able to actually order this thing? The e93 has almost exclusively been shown with dct transmission so its pretty odd that its not available to order, even it its delayed a month or so.

I guess that's what, about 3 hours away now? So we'll expect your write-up just after that then!

What's is up here? What happened to the 29th, long gone now and nothing official. Just one American in Germany taking delivery. Come on BMW we expect much much more. Any Germans or EU folks have any updates?
