Perfectly fine, you don't need to worry about backing off until you get the engine temp iDrive warning.

On a drive from VA to Toronto saw a fellow jet black owner (e93) going the opposite direction. Flashed my headlights at him. Got no response. Remembered I was driving my wife's SUV and shed a quick tear.

I don’t bother with oil analysis since they don’t do anything for bearings unless it’s an 08 model. I’m still under extended warranty until next spring, I have funds saved to do bearings once the warranty ends. So hopefully they last until then!

If you pretty much stayed above 5k most of the time like that, then yes it's perfectly fine. If you were just driving around the city, then yes, I would be worried. |

It is But the best part is actually the 100km long stretch between Pemberton and Lillooet. Pemberton is just 30 minutes north of Whistler. The drive from Pemberton to Lillooet are full of switch backs and hill climbs through the mountains, and also some long downhill portion.

I drove the shit out of it this morning on the way to work...heel/toe downshifting, M-button engaged, the whole deal....and it was GLORIOUS! I've never driven a more rewarding/engaging car. As I sit here at work in my cubicle, I can still hear phantom revs and blats from the S65B40. I drive it about once a week now. My other car is...no joke...a Prius lol (wife drives an X5 so it's not all that bad haha).

Cannot get BC button to trigger oil change reset
Hi, new to this forum, not sure where to post my question related to oil change I did today. I can't get the BC button to trigger reset option.
I have a 2008 e92 m3 manual transmission. After changing the oil, I followed the multiple videos I watched and got to the service menu on the cluster, I pressed the BC button to look at which item needs service. I scroll down on the stalk to get to red oil change symbol. But when I press on the BC button at the end, it won't trigger a reset. I tried pressed and released and also tried holding the BC button. I also tried pressing the cluster button, and a variation of holding and not holding brake vs clutch the same time. My brake fluid needs to be flushed also. I have not done it yet but when I tried to press the BC button for brake fluid (just to see if the reset option will come on) also no luck. Not sure if manual and automatic transmission makes a difference because most video are with automatic transmission and most are not m3. There was a 2011 manual m3 reset video but not seeing anything different. Is there something I am missing. If there is a step I am missing, suggestions will be appreciated. |
