Where would you like it? You can lower it to 5,000 yourself. Lower than that, it needs coding.

I just watched a vid of mine launching.. it's at 5.5k.

So can it be lowered to 3500?

Brew can you clarify what you mean by 'bit up bpm'?

We have software to lower it down to 3,500.

Sorry if this question has been answered before. What's the advantage of lowering the launch RPM?

Productive wheel spin instead of a major burnout

I believe you can get the updated transmission software to lower it to 3500rpm. <$200

I HIGHLY recommend the GTS tune from Alex@Alpine. I've heard good things about Benvo's DCT tune, but I have not personally had it.

Euro MDM (provides higher yaw, more wheelspin and other tolerances before DSC intervenes) is separate from GTS DCT (allows for faster shifts).

Thanks, I am aware of Euro MDM and I have it on my car.

I also have the Euro DCT tune and was asking if it's the same as the GTS DCT. I think it may just be the DCT tune from the standard European M3 (non-GTS) and was asking for confirmation.

Oh sorry then I didn't know there was a Euro DCT. Good question. I guess the only way to find out is try launch control and see if you can lower on the stalk below 5,000 rpms.

Hmm, I'm not to sure. I have the GTS DCT file, and when I activate launch control, it revs up to 3500rpm?

Is that the same for your Euro DCT?

It still revs up to 5,000 I believe. Haven't used LC in awhile. I'll see if I can lower the RPM to 3,500 with the stalk next time.

Is yours 3,500 without adjusting the stalk?

Ok... So there is a GTS DCT tune (quick shift) and a Euro MDM tune??

Are these separate tunes?

I have the ESS tune (GTS) but can't find the obd port.

Another question.. Can you get an OBD and code it for the GB ECU easy enough (read cheap)?

I have a Euro M3 with DCT and am planning on having the original M3 GTS software flashed. But how/where to get 3500rpm for the launch control? Is it a simple coding thing or is it part of some custom firmware? Really hate the 5000+ rpm for LC...

Yeah, I used to have the DCT software that just launched it at 5500rpm, but now when I activate it defaults to 3500.
