300% this. The AD08R sucks on public roads, and I am speaking from experience. Tons of tread noise. Extremely stiff ride. You will never use all of its performance potential on the street unless you have a death wish. A PS4S or whatever is plenty of street performance with better manners and usability.

I ran p4s finally @ limerock 2 weekend ago. I was surprised about the grip and I believe I was pretty satisfied at it's performance. I only goes 2 times a yr so buying this really made a lot of difference on street driving. I ran AD08 before and it was very noisy. P4s is very quiet and just had a chance to drive it in the rain. I was very amazed at how planted the tires even on heavy downpour. Couldn't be happier...
here's the last session I had at limerock. I took the A group since it has been 4 yrs since I went back to a track again... |

As long as you have camber plates I think you'll be pleased! Let us know how it works!

Started each session at 30 psi and ended at 37 psi. Also running KWv3 w/no camber. Installing the Swift conversion next month so will run VIR in August with some camber. Expect the tires will again hold up well. Hated the Super Sports, but really like these tires.

Any updates on this thread? How many track days and street miles are you getting out of a set? I only got one day out of my regular pilot sports before the inner edge melted away. I’m looking to get the 4s. I am wondering how many street miles plus track days you have done before you get to the wear bars???
Also, can you add camber plates to a stock suspension? What do you recommend to reduce wear on the outsides? I do 5-7 track days per year, daily drive the car, and run intermediate group. |

Yes, you can add camber plates to stock suspension and that will go a long way to prolong tire life. |

Camber plates will most definitely help reduce outer edge wear and I will also suggest running marginally higher pressures. I’m just now getting coilovers and camber plates, so I have loads of track events with a stock suspension setup, and I would shoot for 40psi hot—as I found lower pressures would chunk the edges and reduce wear. Not ideal, but definitelt helps with longevity. |

Front left 265/35R18 PS4S after 2nd track day at NCM on an ATS-V Sedan 9"w front wheel. Novice driver, 28psi cold/35psi hot target, aligned to -2.0 front camber before the 1st track day a month earlier but found at -1.1 after this 2nd track day:
Great street tire for the occasional track day, but definitely needs camber and is prone to sidewall rollover - especially if overdriven. |
