Let's be honest, it's a 3700 lb GT car. This isn't a Lotus we are talking about. The difference between the sunroof and the carbon roof will be immeasurable performance wise. Everyone besides pro racing drivers will not notice a difference (even then I doubt it).

Reminds of a buddy I have who told me that the spoiler on his SRT-4 Neon is functional. The SRT guys designed it that way. No, it's a gimmick, just like the CF roof on this car.

I test drove an E92 w/ a CF roof and I missed the sunroof out of my E90. I actually like it. But i'm too tall to fit in my car w/ a helmet anyway so I can't track.

Lol i agree. I bought my car new but I specially sought out for one with moonroof. I use my moonroof EVERYDAY! I do however love how the black roof contrasts with white, I ended up getting mine done in gloss black. It's definitely made it look so much better. Just get the main roof done in gloss black (wrap or paint) then order the rails since they come pre-paint black for carbon fiber roof m3 vins.

That's the only legitimate issue with a sunroof: helmet clearance. I haven't tried my helmet on in the car yet. I am 6' so it will be close.

100 lbs of roof weight is not just felt on the track. anyways this thread is more about aesthics, the CF roof slopes at a lower angle and well..its CF..

that's not really true I don't believe or the glass would be diff, other issues, etc. it's the same car w/ a diff roof panel

100 lbs???? I believe it's 45 lbs compared to the CF and 35 compared to a normal (aluminum) roof.
