Do these look like legit BE bearings & bolts?

I'm purchasing from a stranger online. How can I tell that what I'm buying is what's advertised?

Thanks!

Well those definitely look to be the same packaging trays BE Bearings use for shipment. I'd also want to see a photo of the box with part BE part number or a receipt..

Look at the stamps on the backs of the bearings. If the stamps are SP1527HK or SP1527F, then they are authentic BE Bearings. That is also an authentic tray for BE Bolts. But I can't see the head close enough to tell for sure. But I'm pretty sure they are authentic.

Bearing are such a critical item I would stay away from a private sale.of these- they aren't even expensive.

Putting the wrong bearings can ruin your motor. I would advise buying to save like $50 and risk it all

The stamps on the backs of the bearings don't lie about what they are.

Not only about that- what if the dude dropped one and put it back in the packaging?

Well, they won't go out of round by dropping; you can't ding a corner by dropping. The backing steel is far too hard to be damaged by dropping. Since the shell is a semi-circle, to damage the surface, you'd have to be pretty creative when dropping. If the surface were damaged, it would be very visible to the naked eye...you couldn't miss it unless you didn't look.

Well I bought them and he seemed legit. Had two sets and explained that they were held up at the US/CAN border during Covid because he shipped it to one of those places you drive across and pickup. Everything seemed ok, and if it blows up, I'll post here. Lol

I bought mine from Student Loan, a user here. I got them installed perfect. I am not sure what he is charging now, however, I felt like it was a deal at the time. He was literally the only person that had them "in stock" at the time. You could try him since he is a respected member here.
