Alpine Angel Eyes help...
I bought a set a few months back and had it installed by Alex. However recently ive been noticing that the lights on the front right have not been turning on and seems to work again at random times. Is there any way to fix this or is this a sign that i need to replace them? The left one seems to be fine btw...no problems at all.

If they are going on and coming off randomly I would check all the connections and ensure everything is tight. I'm sure Alex did a fine job, but something might have moved around and loosened up. If everything is connected right, then I'd talk to Alex again, maybe there is a short somewhere in the hardware that is causing it, and it might need to be replaced.

Sounds like either a ground issue or ballast problem.

Alex does great work, I also had the alpines on my car. You may want to check to see if the fuse is still good. It's located in a little black box near the windshield wiper fluid top. It costs like 25 cents at your local auto parts store.

If the fuse was blown, they wouldn't work at all. OP says it's intermittent.

I have had the Alpine HIDs on my car for about 9 months now and I have given up trying to get them to work constantly. I have just learned to live with their issues. When they work they are so awesome and I get compliments everywhere but my left light only works half the time until I turn my DRLs of and back on a few times and then it will come on. That is kinda embarrassing having to do that. I was on a date the other night and the chick that was with me even asked "why is only one of your angel eyes on?".
I contacted Alex about this issues after only having the lights for a week and he sent me a new ballast but that still didnt fix the issue either. If you search on the forums you will find lots of other members that have had similar issues with them. Im not trying to knock Alex or Alpine but instead, I am just stating my experience with the HIDs. I plan on upgrading to some OSS type LEDs in the future. I wish I didnt have to though because I love the way the HIDs look. I just am getting tired of them not working right away and then me having to tinker with them to get them to work.

I never said anything about the fuse being blown. In my case the plastic from the fuse overheated a little and melted the plastic. I took it out and put a new one in and it fixed the issue 100%. My lights were doing the samething the OP's were doing.

Understood. I've just never seen an intermittent issue with something where the fuse was ok but good to know.

mine is now problem-free, and i love the way it looks, but not before 3 months of tinkering and multiple shipping to alpine for new ballasts/bulbs and harness, because of the same problem the OP has.
so, the problem is with the passenger side angel eye? |

My passenger side also had the same problems. At first I thought it was that the ballast wasn't getting enough power when I started the car so I added a 4700uF 35v capacitor to the circuit just before the ballast. This seemed to solve it for a little while but then the problem came back so I assumed it was the ballast. However, it was still having the same issue with the new ballast so I changed the bulbs and its fixed now.
