Evolve Supercharger Dyno Results (525+ RWHP Dynojet)

Evolve Supercharger Kit - Rotrex Air-to-Air Intercooled
95mm Pulley Dynojet Session Results
6.7 PSi






The results below show various dyno pulls from a DCT car (Steven) run in 4th gear running 93 Octane Fuel.

We are also showing the first run which is always the lowest due to the DME not hitting the set ignition targets straight away. Even that first run is highly respectable I am sure you will all agree.

We are also showing consecutive runs until maximum power has been reached and then falls off slightly due to rising intake air temperatures.
Normally only one 'best' graph is shown. In this case we are showing the range of power that can be achieved based on the number of runs and the effects of heatsoak all in one.

The boost levels of this production kit has been under question and this will be the second time we show dynojet graphs indicating our quoted 6.5-6.7 PSi.

This dyno has had Steven's car on it from the very beginning when it was stock.
To begin with here are 8 stock runs vs 1 supercharger run. We can see lowest to highest numbers made and it's very much there with the rest of the good powered stock S65's.

535rhp/350ftlbs on the Dynojet would equal 10% less on the Dynapack according to this video below.

So that would mean that the Harrop TVS kit at 5.5 PSI 500hp/400ftlbps on the Dynapack would be delivering higher torque and horsepower at lower boost than the evolve kit right?

Depends on what correction factors you want to compare.

Trying to compare different dyno's with different cars and different conditions is not recommended at all.

We can deliver far more torque at low rpm if we want to with valve overlap changes reverted back to stock.

Consistency of power is the most important part of a performance solution.
This we have shown.

We look forward to putting our kit up against the Harrop system like we have other systems of higher quoted HP and dyno numbers.

Great numbers! This car rips, I watched it beat a ESS 625 dct car at DOR atco. Impressive evolve!

Yes it will be good to see which is best for a track and street driven manual. Harrop is actually claiming a lower peak HP compared to Evolve. It it is me that is claiming DynoJet figures may be up 10% higher than the Dynapack. Also I'm referring to uncorrected Evolve Dynojet graph and uncorrected Harrop Dynapack figures.


Harrop Dynapack without correction:

3000 RPM: 339wtq, 194whp
5000 RPM: 398wtq, 379whp
7000 RPM: 375wtq, 500whp

Evolve Dynojet without correction:

3000 RPM: 150wtq, 150whp
5000 RPM: 350wtq, 320whp
7000 RPM: 350wtq, 475whp

I guess we will see what happens when they are released and tested.

What you also have to bare in mind is thermal efficiency. As inlet air temperatures rise the power will begin to suffer very quickly.

One pull on a dyno tells you nothing at all about how a setup will perform in the real world once those temperatures start rising.

Our kits are being used all day long on drag events and they remain consistent all day long.

We do long long pulls on private air strips one after the other and it remains consistent. Thermal efficiency is something that people completely over look with supercharger kits.

What happens above 7000 RPM? I may have missed it but is there any data for this. The car has been on a dyno so would be good to see what this data is.

Look forward to real world testing vs the Harrop too.

Yes no actual graph or above 7k datapoints yet that I know of yet....

Do you guys fit many oil coolers and larger radiators for hotter climates at all Sal?

The hottest temperatures we get here in the UK are around 32degC.
Cars performed exceptionally well in these climates with high humidity. You have to drive consistently very hard to get to around 125degC oil temps and beyond.
Even a stock car gets really hot really fast.

For those in the middle east things get really hot even stock. That is where we recommend people upgrade the oil coolers. Radiators not so much as oil temperature is a big problem stock on these engines.

We can build them at any time.

We may even be able to get away with a 6 rib pulley system given there will be little load on the supercharger.

Will log into dyno computer and pull up the data.

Lots of people are interested in lower boost intercooled kits also but the idea you have come up with is something we have been thinking about and allows for people to upgrade to a full blown setup as time and funds permit.

Killer data and very thorough post. As always, I love the candid information showing the low and highs of all the dyno runs.

Great to see some data collected here in the States on an independent DynoJet.

Hopefully we see more Evolve S/C Kits roaming the streets around here.
