Smile 14 laps around the track!

Included with every M3 purchased we get free diver training at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, I recently attended this training session. I have posted a video summary of my experience see link. I had about 14 laps of driving the beast around the track! Over all it was as expected, the M3 is very competent and I had an amazing experience. The highlight of the day was 2 “hot” laps with the instructor driving and demonstrating what the M3 can do!

Is this overseas or are we in the US going to get driver training also? M5/M6 have the driving experience class built into their pricing and they have one year to use it. I wish they offered it for us, probably not though we always get the short end of the stick

Considering what they pay for an M3 (more than our M6 last I remember) I think that's the least they could get in consolation.

I believe I also read that BMW drivers in SA make up the largest percentage of drivers in SA compared to BMW drivers in any other country

just take a BMW CCA driving school - for about $500 you get two days on the track and in-car and classroom instruction. MUCH cheaper than buying a M6!!!!

He's from South Africa. 2-hour Performance Driving session is included in the US if you take delivery at PCD. Not the same as M5/6 where you can take delivery at a dealer and do it later.

Bummer did you ask your SA about that Greg? I know this was a topic we were talking about before. So if you pass up the PCD delivery you cant get teh Performance Driving sessions? I think thats crap. Why would they limit to the arrival date only?

I highly recommend BMWCCA driving schools. For about $450 you can get three days on the track in your own car with an instructor. And you get the drive the entire time.

Not to bash the OP, but the highlight for me would not be someone else driving the car around the track, I'm not sure how that would beat me actually in the drivers seat on the track.

Cool video though.

Me driving the front straight at Watkins Glen just below this line.

Yes, confirmed -- I posted this in the Ordering forum:

"Hi Greg,

Unfortunately not. The only way to participate without paying is to actually take delivery of the vehicle here which included a 2 hour driving rotation.

The M5 and M6 have a driving experience that is built into the price of the vehicle and can be used within one year from the date of purchase.

The rest of the driving schools they offer here are tuition based."
