Rear PSS out of stock at Tirerack?

Are the rear 265/35/19 PSS really out of stock until 2015 at Tire Rack?! I was hoping the website listed worst case scenario dates?

Per Tirerack they are production-delayed at Michelin all the way until the end of 2014 or early 2015. None of the indy tire shop suppliers in town had any. I found the last two in the America's Tire network at a shop in Florida and somewhere in SoCal.

Are the 275/35-19s available? I switched to 255/35 front and 275/35 rear PSS last year, and they've worked out great.

Yes, 275/35R19 is in stock. We have both the normal version and the version that is OE on the 2015 M3/4.

The BMW version of the PSS is not technically OE for the E9X, so I don't claim that it will necessarily perform any better on this chassis vs the regular version, but if you like the warm fuzzy feeling of having the star on the sidewall, we've got you covered.

Some guys have reported that with upsizing you get less steering feedback and sharpness. Others have only good things to say. Another factor is I do not have ZCP wheels.

No issues here with steering feedback/sharpness reduction. 255/35s on 8.5" wheels is a standard issue wheel/tire size not only for BMW but other brands too for many years. Same with 275/9.5" which for example the rear of my M5 came with stock.

I have two other sets of wheels/tires for track and autocross, so I'm only looking at street application here with the PSS.

I also didn't notice much if any loss of steering precision with an upsized front tire, you're talking fractions of fractions of a second difference.
none of it compares to how good the car is with a 10" or 9.5" wheel on the front which is a night and day difference
