2009 E92 M3 - Deal or No Deal?

Hey guys,

About to purchase my first M3 and boy is it a headache trying to find what I want at a reasonable price.

I came across this vehicle here on the forum and on CL.

I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the potential price point of this vehicle.

I pulled a carfax and its a 5 owner vehicle. Current owner has had it 1 year and has the maintenance records from original owner. Just had the airbag recall done and passed BMW courtesy inspection with no issues.

The kicker though is I am located 11 hours away. So I can't really take a look in person without shelling out $200-400. Any advice on whether its worth it to possibly throw out $200-400 on a plane ticket to see this vehicle?

If it's what you want, get a PPI done before flying out to buy it.

I was more so curious about the pricing. I am having trouble comparing what a good standard price is due to all the variations.

Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me who watches the prices could chime in?

If the car checks out at much as it can without you standing there, and you want it, I say spend the money. If it's all good, buy it, if not at least you're sure. Certainly looks tidy in the pics, and a nice spec.

This was how I approached my E46 M3 purchase a few years ago. I flew up to it, prepared to buy a ticket home if it wasn't as described. Fortunately it was, so I bought it and drove it the 1000km home. Had it two years and loved it.
