I Know You Guys Like Cold Starts

Detailing the M and the Macan yesterday and decided to take some video quickly.

Crazy how stock exhausts are being made these days (Macan).

The Macan sounds pretty nice, but I was always a huge fan of the Cayenne GTS. That glorious V8 had such a smooth and aggressive tone.

Porsche make great sounding exhausts in my opinion, particularly the 991.1 generation. I had use of a 991.1 C2S with the PSE for a couple of weeks whilst in California, the exhaust was absolutely glorious. Beautiful tones throughout the rev range, spine tingling snarl, and nice popping and banging on the overrun but not overdone. I love the S65 sound, but the Porsche flat 6 does something a little bit extra for me. Not been in a Mezger version but from vids its even better.

Yeah, plan is to buy out this Macan when the lease is up (never leased before this, didn't know I'd fall in love with the car), sell the M3 and then move on to a 991.2 something or other (I'm thinking GT3).

Never thought I'd be a Porsche guy after having so many BMWs, haha...

Agree, but I could just never get behind the design of the Cayenne. It's much better now, but something about it still doesn't translate for me.

If I needed a daily, Macan GTS would be my number 1 choice so fair play. Probably some decent deals around on the 991.1 GT3 given the 991.2 has just been released.

The 991.2 non GT3 flavours lose a bit of the edge sound wise due to the Turbo, although I have never been in one from vids I feel like it mutes the 'raw' edge which makes the engines sound so good.

If your buying new take a look at the Carerra T, it's perfect apart from the brakes. You can spec it with the bucket seats from the GT3.

Lease is up in June 2019, so the 991.2 GT3s should be had at a decent price. I'm so solid on at GT3, it's silly.

Either that or a 570S, but a friend that works at a dealer said she'd take the GT3 all day.

You can also spec PCCBs on the T.

Yeap, it's too bad Porsche went away from the flat 6 with the Caymann/Boxster to a turbo with fake sound and auto rev matching.

Next thing you'll see is a hybrid M to try to keep with with Tesla numbers.

What rear diffuser do you have? I've been leaning toward something with tall strakes like yours.

It's on factory air suspension, but I keep it in the low setting at all times

Thanks, man!

Still have the same exhaust setup. Going forced induction soon...and, I MIGHT do straight pipes for the wow factor.

Stylistically the car was a bit of a letdown. Although with most of their models, they usually start to get it right after two to three iterations.

Knowing how you are with these fine examples of cars I assumed it belonged there.
