Not quite the thumbs up situation, but every morning I head out to the Starbucks to pick up my mobile order. Motor is cold and 6MT. As I head up a hill, I can feel the disapproving looks of the drivers behind me boring into the back of my head because I'm driving "too slowly" like some old fart.

Was walking on a local high school track because it’s easy on my failing knee. Caught three kids taking turns posing in front of my car for Instagram like they were at an auto show. Gave me a good chuckle and they didn’t actually touch the car. I probably would have done the same at that age.

Lol I thought I was the only one. These cars really hate the cold and I feel like I’m punishing it every time until it warms up. Our 2020 x3 on the other hand just starts and goes no matter what temp it is outside. So I can definitely understand why people would think I’m driving “slow” while I warm up.

Went to Starbucks this morning....on the way back home a 2021 M4 pulled up next to me at the light and the driver gave me the thumbs up...he rolled down his passenger window and said "Thats a clean setup"....I sad thanks and saw he has some sweet aftermarket wheels...and could only return the compliment with " Sick Wheels". Not a fan of the front Lungs on New M4/M3 generation.

My favorite is when little kids notice the car and make their moms/dads come and look at it. I had a 3-year-old in a stroller who was so blown away that he asked his mom to drive the stroller closer. It totally flashed me back to when I was a kid and saw my first Toyota Corolla (India in 1985). Anything for the kids

Got a thumbs up from a passenger in an STI. I don't get a whole lot of thumbs up but when I do.. I know he/she knows exactly why this baby is special.

I also think the sedans are much more camo/undercover than the 2 door brother.

My e92 M3 gets a bit of attention, as it should. Classic BMW lines that still seem fresh today.

Over the summer I got an e30. That thing gets thumbs ups everywhere.. women walking by, old people , middle school kids, and of course lots of "car people". I caught a college kid taking a video, when I cruised by he yelled "rev it out", and I obliged 😹
