Well, just the 911 speaker grilles in leather are $2600.

lol, great lesson learned over here. if i ever want to justify an expensive option to someone, just compare it to porsche's prices.

In a Porsche, full int leather is a must imho...but in a M3, interior looks good without full leather, although itwould look better with full.

But I love the deviated stitching! But hard to justify that cost unless it was 2K and included full leather, then it would be worth it.

you didn't know you can order the car?! Man dealerships suck. They should have told you that you can order a car exactly as you wanted, given the options and colors they have.

Uh, full leather on a 911 is about 3500. The leather packages here are cheaper, but the quality is also a tick less. The rip off P car options are things like center console painted exterior color, leather speaker grills, leather covered sun visors and many more... But you're buying a $100k car, not a $65k car. Alcantara headliner is standard

Is stitching really $6300?

So I did a search, and read a bunch of threads, and also emailed Ryan Amico, who says that contrasting stitching, on a standard extended leather interior (standard color, not individual color of leather) runs $6300 USD.

Which seems soooooo expensive (+9% no a 70k car). And I get, "if you have ask..." But really? 9% more for a car with stitching.

For those of you who got stitching, can you kindly PM me and let me know if this true (or post the pricing?)

I am working up my order and would really like to get contrast stitching, but $6300 seems like too much dough.

Thanks (this is my first post), and would be grateful for any guidance.

Stitching is around $2000. Stitching with an Individual interior is about... $6300 (E93 M3 is $1450 less).

The common quote mistake is to use the wrong code for Individual items. Just contact your dealer again and make sure that they are using the correct codes.

I really appreciate the help, Technic. Is there any information I can reference? I talked with Ryan and he assured me it was $6300 even after repeated incredulous replies by me. Which clearly seems too expensive for stitching.

Is there any way to get the actual order code with the correct pricing?

Many thanks. I am close to placing the order, and want to get stitching if it indeed is $2k (which seems like a commensurate cost for the work).

Well speaking from experience, it's now more than 2k. It was and/or might have been 2k, it's not anymore. I have a car with contrast stitching and extended leather and I've paid more than 2k for it (4.8k with extended leather on an E93).

Again, we've had this discussion before (use search). I've dealt directly with Maria at BMW NA and Christine at BMW-M in Germany and despite what some will say it's not an error or someone not putting in the code right. Given that every individual order goes through Maria, I'd be more than surprised if you get it for 2k, but gratz to you if you do!

Glop, thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I did a search, and couldn't find the answer and I also read through a bunch of threads looking.

So you paid 4.8k just for the stitching, or for stitching plus the extended novillo leather option (2k for extended novillo, 2.8k for stitching)? Is that right?

If I wanted to get in touch with Maria at BMW NA, how would I do that?

I am really interested in ordering the stitching, but need to know the cost before doing so.

Again, many thanks in advance.

I paid 4.8k for black leather with red stitching, with extended but apparently that was a mistake on their part and after I complained they honored it anyway. Their last quote was 4.8k without extended + $1100 for extended if I remember correctly.

Damn. If it was $2,000, I'd order a new car for the contrasting stitching.

Your dealer should be able to get you in contact with Maria at BMW so you can discuss all this with her. Individual prices have indeed been increased lately (I will be paying an extra $100 in just 4 months of quotes), but something is not right with the $6300 quote just for stitching.

Thanks Glop. Oh, I've seen pictures of your car already. That's part of what inspired me to chase this crazy idea down.

$50 should cover it. $100 if she's a real craftsman.

Here you go... it's $4100 + $1080 (dealer is $3725 and $985) if you want individual trim as well. I got a platinum extended leather interior with piano black trim.

@Yash Top Stitch is South El Monte has done this to a few M3's. Looks sick and I would imagine a lot cheaper then ordering it from BMW. Plus you can ask then for your old stitching back

that's funny 330iTiag. Really funny actually.

Thanks Buddster for the details. I think my excitement for custom stitching is waning given the price and wait time.

Curious, what color stitching did you order with the platinum interior? That's going to be a really cool car you have being built.

You have their contact info? I did a Google search and only came up with this thread.

Any idea how much it runs?

Thanks.
