This was the week of wheels for me. Sold my 359M's, Bought Square EC-7's 18x10 +25, Bought Coby Wheel.

Now I just have to tell my wife.

Racer math says you sold the 359’s for about as much as you bought the new Apex wheels for, so you only need to fess up about the Coby wheel! Lol

And since 18” tires might cost less than 19” tires, you are actually saving money. So maybe it’s really all neutral.

My wife is an accountant so this tactic doesn't work. She also doesn't care about cars so the chance she will listen to my explanation is nil.

I still tried it.

As punishment she made me take another swig of the mystery leaking from my rocker panel. (Has since been confirmed to be washer fluid).

Ha ha! Racer and math should not be put in the same sentence! Just forget about trying to explain it away as it make zero financial sense to dump money into these cars!

I'm strongly considering pulling the trigger on a set of BimmerWorld TA5Rs 18x10.5x24 squared. I'll likely run 265 through 305s. I've run all of these sizes before with ARC-8 18x10x25 with no issues. I prefer to run the wider tires when I can find them so going with 10.5 rather than 10.

I'm looking for feedback on the quality and strength of the TA5R.

Heading back to the track next weekend - can't wait!

Cheers!

They look fine. Just another flow-formed wheel.

It felt good to be back on track. I think a track days are doable but the social distancing thing takes some of the fun out of the weekend.

Still...week later and I'm still alive

Also did this perfect 360 spinaroonie!

Nice 360! Were you comfortable riding right seat? How was attendance?

I may head that way tomorrow.

Hope to see you before it gets too hot.

No. I'm in Houston so 1 days at creasing really aren't worth it. Nor am I an edge addicts fan.

I didn't have an issue with instructing. The event wasn't full...most of all we were short instructors for a variety of reasons. No yellow, red check rides. I would have moved my greenie to blue but not enough instructors.

Didn't mind...my green student was great! He was drifting, sliding, no nannies and even blew away a McLaren...stock E36 M3. I had a lot of fun riding along.

Anyone have any recommendations for a race suit brand/size for somebody 6'3, 190lbs, and a longer torso (I know trying on would be best of course)? Looks like OMP is better for us lankers. Maybe a size 58 OMP?

Also, I was searching balaclavas, and I came across these beauties...https://www.amazon.com/OMP-Racing-OM...9151442&sr=8-4

Nope, I get an overfill. It's usually 8-8.5.
