Is there a common lower temp thermostat people run? Is it even a common thing to change? I live in the south and it's hot 6 months of the year and our winters rarely get but so cold and when it is the car generally isn't used much.

lots of discussion here. not sure how valid some of the claims are.

I see just as arguments for vs against and neither have swayed me one way is better than the other. I'll just leave it alone.

I spoke too soon, install note for others, go ahead and grab the air lines fore and aft of the valve and the two hose clamps (you'll need a hose clamp tool for these also, see the ECS kit as an example of all the parts, part numbers available on realoem). My brittle lines did not disconnect as they should and need to be replaced. Few days delay on completing, all good.

Ground Control Rear Adjustment

While I am waiting for my 0700-225-1000 Eibach rear spring to show up, I would like to better understand this gadget. I understand their purpose. But I don't quite understand how you adjust and where they get installed (up or down?) I was unable to find installation pictures.

Also, I did see that there is a bearing that may start clunking.

And to my main point, I am looking for this to be helpful on trackday, I am not looking for this expense to make my car look better (fender to tire gap)

With that in mind, and because "I am already there replacing rear spring" I would love to hear some feedback and advice on this part

Red part goes on top. Spring sits between the gold cone shape piece and lower control arm. The gold piece on black rod is threaded and you can move it in/out of the red base piece to raise/lower it. That center black rod is 13mm hex head. It's so easy to use. Jack the car up and run a 13mm on long extension through the control arm and adjust as needed.

I took the "grocery getter"/full weight E92 M3 out for a DE day. MCS singles, Dinan front sway on soft, Stop tech ST60 front only, Cobalt Friction XR1 front & XR2 rear. I had a street alignment at -2.2 or -2.7 (I can't remember) on Hoosier A7. No power mods. The car with driver is 3825-3900 depending on fuel load. It was pretty darn quick. There was only one well driven GT3RS that was faster.......all other GT3RS were passed 😃. Of course I need more camber to maximize lateral grip and tire life. Forward grip was noticeable.

Thank you.

So I can already hight adjust with the JRZ spanner. Are there any other advantages?

The ground control piece is easier and it doesn't require wheels off. Also the spring perch articulates so in theory the spring will stay a bit more square not that it's ever seemed to be a problem for people without but it is more optimal technically.

That sounds like an expensive thing to lose. Where did it go?

Came with the car when I bought it. Probably can get some on eBay for cheap
It flew off on the highway this morning while it was on the trailer somewhere between Dallas and Tulsa

Just got back from running with SCCA time trials this weekend at Summit Point Shenandoah! First time instructing/running TT with them, also first time running this circuit. Awesome group of drivers. Car's not really built for any of their classing so the slicks automatically put me in unlimited. Ended up 2nd in class (out of 4) and 3rd fastest overall (out of 26)

Ah yeah, finished photo of the bumper spats by the way! Ended up using the same material I used for the splitter end plates

I have run both ways and prefer the inside line. I didn't notice a difference in time between the two and I like the way exiting from the inside sets you up for the next turn
