Question M3 Spare Tire Trunk Mounting

SO.....I gave up on having no spare after having 2 occasions to use one. I bought a spare set and now need some idea of how to securely mount it and the jack. I guess I can remove the inflator and stow the jack in that hole, but I'm looking for some idea of how to secure the tire in a Cabrio trunk space.

Not sure which "spare set" you bought, as there is not one "off the shelf", AFAIK, with on OD close to stock. You dredged up a very old thread; read this: http://http://www.m3post.com/forums/...ighlight=spare.

The old 330i jack will fit under the floor w/o removing the MMobility kit (at least in the coupe/sedan).

Greg, it won't fit under the floor on an E93.

Good point - any pics of what that area is like on the 'vert?

I'll take some if I have time later. That area is full of various electronic boxes, with the M-mobility kit squeezed in.

I refuse to fix/change tires on the side of the streets/highways, if the tire is leaking, I will just call my friend's tow truck company, and get us home. My M3 is not my long distance cruiser, so I'm not worrying about stranded on the side of a road.

Here's a picture of the under-floor area of the E93 and pictures of my emergency tire repair kit, so I don't need to rely on the goop.
