Driving home Wed pm about 3pm from SFO headed South 280 at 380 exchange, Space Grey M3 E92 blacked out M badge on rear deck, rear diffuser and nice sounding aftermarket exhaust.

Looks like most forums threads are dying in favor of FB groups. I don't really do FB unfortunately. Long shot, but any locals have a k + dcan cable I could borrow for a few hours/days? Want to just activate Video in Motion. I have a ENET cable and can help anyone update their Nav maps for free by pulling the 1b file. Pm me.

I have the Carly OBD II adapter and app that can activate DVDinMotion. I'm in the Fremont area. Get me a six pack of a good IPA and we'll call it even!

LOL. I'll hit up DJ_Dub first since he's pretty local to me. I Just want to activate the VIM feature as I'm getting tired of my kid asking me to let her watch Inside Out on my phone.

And my offer to update NAV maps for anyone is open. I can always just let you borrow the USB drive and ENET adapter too, as my schedule can get pretty busy with family stuff.

Quick shot out to dj_dub (Wendell) for activating my Video-in-Motion. Awesome guy with some bad ass bimmers. I had some trouble with updating his Navigation maps, but I think we got it sorted in the end. JsL (Jonathan) came by and we updated his Navigation maps too. Thanks again dj_dub for letting us hang out and drool over your car and Jonathan for being patient while we worked everything out.

Thanks for the kind words bro, I appreciate it! It was great to meet you and hanging out as well! Thanks for really trying to get my Nav map update to work even though in the end we couldn't do it. At least now I know what I need to do. I really appreciate your persistence!

So I am due for oil change. Went to Stevens Creek BMW. Quoted me for $249 but I explained that I have been paying $159 in different BMW dealer from MI, NY, OR. Service adviser told me if I can provide a receipt, they would match the price.

Oh well after they dropped me off at my work, the manager would not approve it.. called around different dealer and indy shops and $229~$300 seems the price range..

WTF CA!!!?? How could CA dealer can charge more than NY dealer? it does not make any sense.

Anyways, does anyone know a shop who charges "reasonable" price for oil change in Bay area???

I get mine done at Dinan Mountain View. $165 I believe.
