High pitched brake squeal nearing complete stop

I have an 08 M3 (19,000 miles) and recently just started to hear a, very annoying high pitched squeal, only when nearing a complete stop and nearly letting off the brake entirely. No codes are shown.

Any ideas ? I have searched the threads and found a multitude of possibilities such as brake wear, sensors, rotors, emergency brake etc.

Perhaps someone has already tackled this one ?

Thanks !

Have you bed-in your brakes? This procedure eliminates a huge percentage of brake noise/squeal:

Well, these are still my original brakes/rotors. Just started over the last 200 miles, or so.

Thanks

Yes, as you drive around the pad transfer layer wears off the discs over time from driving around. Please just watch the video...and the one below. You'll then understand what we're on about.

Thanks to OP and you. I have this issue as well after a new rotor install and some hard mountain driving. Will give your recommendation a try.

I would also visually inspect and make sure your pads are worn (meaning the backing plate is contacting the rotor), or that there's debris between the dust shield and the rotor or whatever.
