You'll want to get the test pipes installed before doing the Stage 2 tune.

Same setup as what I'm running more or less, apart from 93 part

But that will seriously wake up your car. It's not like adding a supercharger or anything, but the different will be obvious enough. Mike is great to work with.

The last question I had on the Stage II tune was: since the tune removes the check engine light for the test pipes, will the check engine light still come on if there is another fault i.e o2 sensor, throttle actuator etc. or is it off for good?

No, it is designed to only turn off the light for the cats and nothing else. You will still get warnings for everything else.

if you were to scan the car with a generic obd2 scanner would it show codes?

does it only turn off the check engine light on the dash or does it get rid of the code completely

If the car had a problem, absolutely. You would also get a service engine soon light and an iDrive message. You can also read and clear the faults with the supplied cable and software at any time. The car will not store any faults unless there is an issue.

If you're still on the fence about getting this done, get off and get on it!

Working with Mike was a pleasure, and I'm so happy with my car now. Here's what I told him in a PM:

"I've been telling my friends it's like my car is OEM++ now. When I did the pipes, it was running rich and rough, but now you'd never know it wasn't OEM (other than the extra power, extra noise, and extra weight in the steering wheel). It's like my car has had a cold these last two years I've had it, operating at 90%, and now it's in full health and breathing freely!"

Thanks again to the BPM crew.

Use code MFlight10 for the discount this week. It will work for the test pipes as well.
