GPS Upgrade ?

Hi all

I'm the proud new owner of a 09 e92 m3 and during the drive home with it, I noticed the gps didn't show a lot of the new roads, how do i go about upgrading it to the latest maps and is it expensive

You can generate the code for the maps yourself.

As per getting the map data for Australia,

https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=31935

torrent file is on there

Thanks ItsGary, from the comments it looks like that torrent isn't available anymore ... and they want $20 to join the forum on the off chance that it is available

It's in the instructions when you download the files. It's got a script so when you insert the USB into the glove box, it'll run the script and get the code from your CIC then you open it in notepad and your code will be in it.

no idea, it worked the first time for me. just had to select the right map for the generator and entered the code and it worked. i used the map that was linked in the e90 post above.

I'd go through the whole e90 post I linked above. What year is your car? I read "CIC High with a build date prior to 03/2010 requires a firmware update." so that may be your issue. if so, the usb method won't work other option is through the enet cable.
