Anyone else run these? In particular the rears? I tried to get a weight from ECS/Turner but they could not supply one. Any other info discovered since this post was made about replacability? I wonder if the cooling is better than OEM rears?

Got this back from ECS/Turner:

"Yes they are non re-ring able but we do offer replacement rotors for customers that have purchased these at a discount of $75 on the pair. The ECS and turner ones are made at the same location out of the same materials and to the same spec so these are going to be the same more or less. If you wanted to place an order for these just let me know!"

I think I'll pass. With the slots instead of drilled I think that slim weight savings is probably nullified. Can go through 2 sets of OEM rotors for the same price almost.

Yea that sucks and its a deal breaker for me too.

Its a shame that its easier and cheaper to upgrade to Big Brembos on the E9X non-M front Hubs.
I have a set of small and large F30/F80 Brembo Brakes with a nice set of oem 2-piece rotors.

I have converted my E92 335i to Full M3 Suspension & Subframe. So I cant run these brakes even in the meantime without 1k$ rotor solution and shims on the cailipers from I believe the M5s.

Almost seems like the StopTech ST40 front BBK even at the 355mm size, is the way to go!
Its still going to be way better than the stock brakes and plus they should last longer. For $2600. It doesn't seem like you can beat the value..

They come with upgraded StopTech Rotors, Calipers, Pads, & SS Brake Lines all in a Bolt-on BBK Package. Plus it's supposed to match the stock Master Cylinder size and F/R bias setup..

If anyone knows a way to upgrade to better quality rotors and cheap bracket adapters for some 4-pot Brembos, on the E9X M3 platform, post it up please!

I’m looking for rotors all around right now. Guess I’ll pass on the Turner set. Just wish Girodisc made a rear rotor and this conversation would be over!

Ran across this thread while looking at other stuff, figured I'd weigh in again..

I ended up purchasing a full set for my E90 M3 and was very pleased with the quality. The reality though? That car was a garage car and I never really USED these things.

Fast forward though, now I've got my full time track car, S65/M3 converted 135i, and I swapped these rotors with all other brake parts to the new platform.

I've had the car less than a year, have done 5 track days and have been extremely pleased.

My full brake setup is as follows:

Turner Tracksport rotors (4)
Stoptech SS lines
PFC 11 pads
Hardbrakes titanium brake pad heat shields
Castrol SRF fluid.

It is true, Turner does not offer a re-ring option for these, but they sell them at a discounted price for replacement. The price that was mentioned earlier in this thread is not correct, they are 10% off for replacement cost. Personally, while some may think this is a downside, I'll gladly go for this and not have to worry about reassembling rotors. Old set off, new set on and back on track.

That being said, I'm still on the first set, but I have been VERY happy with them and I feel I am pretty hard on brakes. Definitely have ZERO concern when diving into a corner and absolutely standing on the middle pedal.

I say buy with confidence if you plan to track and want to be budget minded.

Doesn’t make sense that they don’t offer brake rotor rings as replacements. 10% discount is not enough when other companies offer rotor rings at $400-500 less than the cost of rotors + hats. A 10% discount saves you $140 which is not even close to the cost of replacement rotor rings only.

I also wish Girodisc made rears, the fronts are pieces of art. Paragon makes a matching set that look nice.

I agree. It is odd because they’d have no trouble selling them. I know the integrated drum parking brake adds complexity to the rear rotor design but plenty of other rotor manufacturers have made rear hats with an integrated drum. Not much info out there on Paragon rotors but we should get more info regarding their rotor performance and longevity since the Paragon brake kit group buy on the forum. Paragon R hat design looks strange. I assume it’s still a floating rotor design?
