E90 M3 do I have TPMS??

Hi,

Random question as I just received my new aftermarket wheels and tires for my e90 M3. How can I tell if I have TPMS or not? My e90 is single hump (no idrive) and no EDC so I don’t see anywhere that would so the tire pressure. How can I be sure? Mainly asking so I can get the new wheels and tires mounted and thrown on.

Thanks

Yes it has them, and you will need a specific tpms based on the year of your car.

The single hump M3's have a very dumb TPMS system, at least mine does, all it will tell you is a tire is low, it doesn't even show you which one. You just get a dash light. Even my single-hump 07 335xi told you which tire, but not my M3.

There's a handy pressure setpoint reset button on the dash next to the hazard button though.

Must be the standard wheel speed sensor you refer to, alarming when one tire has less air/diameter resulting in faster spin. I got that on my 2011, assuming TPMS sensors were introduced later, yeah?

I have a 2008. All years have in-wheel pressure sensors in the US.

I have the same car (08 single hump) and I just ordered new wheels for it. Did you just transfer over the tpms from your oem wheels to the new wheels? Is it as simple as that?

I bought new ones from tirerack. Figured they were new rims and new tires, mise well do new sensors. Everything went smooth!! The single jump looks sexy but you do unfortunately lose some of the digital monitoring features
