Randy was awesome to deal with when I got my tune from him a few months back. Car runs very well, zero issues thus far - been half a dozen track days on it so far and couldn't be happier.

Randy is THE MAN! I left a message and he called me back personally. We spoke for about 30 minutes and he couldn't have left a better impression. Very happy with the tune as well.

I purchased an m3 with an epic tune. At first I was not sure who tuned it. I sent a dozen emails and Randy was able to confirm he tuned the car by Vin. He responded quick gave me all the info I needed. The car runs great.

I have Epic tune on both my e46 and e90 m3. I cant complain at all about Randy. I've sent him numerous emails and he's always responded in a timely manner. I had a weird code that came up after one of the tunes (on the e46) and I sent him the file and he sent me a new one that fixed it a day later.

I cant compare the power or numbers vs another tuner, but overall, i'm happy.

So, I had a stage one tune done on my 2015 328i xdrive wagon. I didn't know what to expect. The tune was done by my local shop, JVR in Port Washington, NY. Epic Motorsports in FL did the actual coding. I did no physical modifications to the car. I was willing to but Randy at Epic said no need.
The results were more than I could have hoped for. The car has a VERY noticable increase of power in every mode. I have no numbers on the car, but Epic sent me dyno run of the same engine with the same tune at approx 350 ft/lbs and 300 wheel hp. Eco pro feels like comfort. Comfort feels faster than Sport did, and Sport is now a little too much for around town driving. Gas mileage seems the same to slightly better. Driveablilty of the car at slow and normal driving is unchanged. No codes. Until you press the pedal a little there is no sign anything was done.

Shout out: JVR is the best BMW shop I have seen. They run several race teams. Are straight forward and reasonable. They will always do the right thing by you.
Epic Motorsports seems to be THE place for tuning. JVR will not recommend anyone else and I am more than happy with the results

I got the Epic Race tune and like it so far but have only a few hundred miles in it. Had a Dinan Stage 1 before and it did not impress me. The Epic tune seems pretty good.

Just a bit of history. Epic was the company that unlocked sizable power gains from the S54. They were an easy 20-30 whp over other tunes until everyone else caught up. Most of their S54 tunes with headers and exhaust were pushing over 320-330whp.

I see Epic as an innovative company. Can't think of any other tuner that falls into that...except maybe ESS.

That's why I have their tune and also why I returned my karbonius box. Epic knows their $H!T.

Curious what Epic told you to make you return the Karbonius box?

I am curious also why Epic does not think much of the expensive carbon fiber box.

I like Epic and their stuff is great. I have their tune as well on a car.

But when you strap a car onto a dyno, do 3 pulls, then install the karbonius airbox and instantly pick up 9whp... well, it's pretty clear. Albert Bierman could say something and I still wouldn't care.

Even by my butt dyno the Beautiful Karbonius box made additional power on my car, but still curious to hear explanation...

I don't want to quote him. I'm sure if you called and asked his opinion he would give his take on it. He's so knowledgeable it's worth it just for the conversation.

if yer gonna throw it out there that Epic convinced you to return your Karbonius, you would think you could back it up with a reason. Otherwise, why even bother to throw that statement out there on a public forum?

No need to "quote him". Just share why YOU chose to not use it.

Dyno results/graphs. Feedback from other people. Look at any tune out there, at the mid range torque curve. Then look at Epic mid range torque curve and let me know what you think.
where are these graphs and comparisons u speak of
