Skid plates, Mporium vs MLT?

Hello forum friends,

Thinking of replacing the soft OEM undertray with an aluminum one and wonder if anyone has real life experience about both the Mporium BMW and the MLT Engineering.
They seem quite similar, and I’m trying to find out about their differences.

The one from Turner Motorsport has been ruled out because of its weight. Speaking of weight, the Mporium is around 12 lbs, does anyone know the weight of the MLT?

As always, thank you in advance for your valuable input!

Hi, there’s another name on the block for these skid plates — POW3R Motorsport. His ones are about 6lbs.

Aren’t these yours? What’s the aluminum thickness?

I sell them but I didn’t design and manufacture them. Jordan from POW3R_MOTORSPORT is the brains behind the product. They are made from 2mm 5251 aluminum and are powder coated in satin black.

A 6lbs difference seems significant.

OP: I went mPorium because that is the original and is tried and true. Nothing wrong with other options that I am aware of, I just chose the popular one. Maybe try the POW3R one and let us know how it goes.

Hmm, a word of caution to others who might be considering getting a skid plate from europower motorsport.

I ordered one ages ago - no skid plate and zero update! Is there a delay, has it been shipped? They are not replying to my emails just asking for an update, and no update via FB message either.

I can live with a delay, although I do need to know what is going on...

What’s your order number? I’ll take care of this right away. That’s strange.
