LUX H8 160 Angel Eyes Installed

Just installed my Lux H8 160 angel eyes. They are extremely bright! Took some pictures in the shade as well as direct sunlight comparing the LUX to stock. Definitely a great upgrade!

Installation was as easy as changing a bulb. Took me less than 5 min. Definitely a 1/10. haha. Only issue you may have is if your hands are big like mine, its hard to twist the bulb back into place since there isn't much room in there.

LUX Compared them to previous verisons in this post. This is the brightest version they have released so far.

Real life looks exactly like the pictures Evenly distributed perfectly. Was surprised exactly how good they looked. Just as bright or brighter than stock, but pure white!

Thanks for the amazing product! Was very suprised how bright and even they were. Even in direct sunlight, they are brighter and more visible than the stock bulbs.

I'm confused as to what color these are. The description says 7000k. When I reference the V5 color chart 6900-7900k is still blue.

Does anyone have a unaltered comparison between the V5 and the 160's?

I like my V5's but if I can get closer to OEM, I'll upgrade.

The LED's we ordered for the H8 160's were between a 6500K and 7200K color so we list them around the 7000K mark, which is a cool white color, not blue.

The H8 V5's go from 5000k - 12,000k so they can be a much cooler color appearing more blue. Hope that helps explain it as well

Thew newer OEM LED angel eyes use a different technology to illuminate the rings so these headlights will never look exactly the same. Both the LUX H8 160's and the LUX H8 V5's make them look as close as possible. The V5's just offer more options to change the color.

The colors in this thread are very accurate to how they look in person as well.

Thanks. But I still need a little more clarification. You state the 160's operate between 6500-7200k. The chart on your website shows 5000k all the way to 12,000k. So comparing Apples to Apples as much as possible, the photo of the V5's at 6300k-7800k have a hint of blue. The 160's operate at 6500-7200k which is conflicting compared to your chart and what we are used to seeing when talking color temperatures. The higher you go the more blue, but this doesn't seem to be the case with the 160's.

Are the actual 160 LED's different than the ones used in the V5's? I trying to decide if I want to make the switch.

Do you have a side by side comparison of the V5 and 160? That would help clear up any confusion.

I look forward to further clarity. Thank you.

you have to see it in person, pictures don't capture the temperature well,
my v3 at 6500k looks white on its own but a lot bluer when compared to my v4 at 5000k.

Cool, just ordered mine. I haven't had LUX since the V3 so should be rewarding to see the difference.

I think this is also due to the fact that the V4 and V5 use both white and blue LED's to give you the color adjustability. Since the V3 and the new 160's use only white LED's the color will always be a little more white. But the pictures I posted are almost exactly like real world color

how do these compare to the Orion's? Also, does it seem like the inner ring is brighter than the outer at all?
