Injector was another theory as well. Might try and swap an injector and fuel pressure sensor with my buddy's car to see if that solves the problem

Could be a broken valve spring. That would be my guess.

Would the car be sensing knock from valve float if there was a cracked valve spring? I'm 100% guessing, I don't know much about this.

It goes into limp mode. You can clear the SES light but goes right back to limp mode. You'll hear a feint clatter as well.

What thread is the trunk and hood hardware? My thread checker doesn't have it.

Broken valve that's pretty serious no? Hope it's an injector problem.

Just did TA's from MPower Motorsports. It was the first time taking off the intake plenum for me. 3 hours start to finish and piece of cake. $700 after core for both. Stoked!

Also, ran the engine without elbow and filter box in the garage to before buttoning it all up and it sounded glorious. The pros say it sounded better than Karbonius.

Bank 1 Throttle codes. Happened at my track day and then have been intermittent the past 3 weeks. 60k miles on my car.

i know... i've needed more for a little while now. part of the problem, is i have a long time perspective. i have a vision of a finished car and sort of want to work backwards from there. i want to "finish" the car with two way true rear coilovers tied into a half cage that also serves as a harness bar. along with the harness bar comes seats. not any seats, i want seats big enough to fit me, but the lightest seats possible. see the problem? a very expensive domino effect of mods.

i think i need to dial the vision build back to 8/10ths and just put a set of coilovers in until its time to take that next step. even then, stuff like that karbonius intake come up and i'm a sucker for things that enhance what i already love about the car. but you're absolutely right that it makes no sense that i don't have coilovers.

The arms race! A long time ago I decided I'm done with this mentality because there is no end.

But why do you need true rear coil overs? I don't see the benefit as being that much over the stock setup. It's just adding that much to the cost of entry because you have to reinforce more.

There is a benefit on the e36/e46 since you can replace the upper control arm with an adjustable link and save 5 lbs.

And you can get more travel in the spring.

I think it's mostly pointless on the E9X.

Meanmachine and @roastbeef update on my JRZ RS one. Done some more driving on winding as well as bumpy roads.

7 out of 24 clicks feels like my car is on stock EDC sport, comfort wise. Excellent turn in and response. Driving on street can't expose the limits safety. Going to Thunderhill east this Saturday with speed SF in advance 2 group. Will report back

i don't need it, to be honest. i think i would just enjoy it. i'm thinking i might just go with a divorced setup to get my foot in the door and upgrade it later.
i was at malek's shop one time and he showed me how a divorced setup allows one to swap rear springs in about ten seconds... i thought that was pretty cool.
might save enough money to get a nice LSD while i'm at it...

but yea, i think i just need to get a set so i can start tinkering with it and upgrade when i feel like i know what i'm doing tuning wise. i'm tired of the oem suspension being janky and not keeping up.

I do 6 from full soft rebound and 3 from full soft compression for street driving on my rs pros. Wonder how much different that is from rs1

I'm in the same predicament and thinking about stopping entirely until I get a CO in there. If I was in the US, I'd pick MCS or try my luck with JRZ dampers.
The other thing is most off-the-shelf COs seem over sprung to me especially in the front.
kpewpew How does 550 front spring feel balance wise? Did you get corner weights or further, sprung/unsprung corner weights for your car?
I've been thinking of something like 400/800.

redpriest with my kit, JRZ's manual recommends 5 clicks for street, 10 clicks for track. There's a total of 24 clicks possible. Does that line up with your RS Pro? If so, maybe it's similar!

gmx we were initially thinking of corner balancing but forgot to in the middle of the big overhaul on my car, will probably do it next time! Car is pretty much a stock ZCP weight wise, no major weight reduction done. With 550 front / 800 rear it feels well sorted on street. Will need to find out on track!

But that's the Main issue , when I said get comfortable , I meant with the everything off lol
With the amount of aero and tire he's gonna have I want him to rely on mechanic grip , not the YAW rate control lol

When I was doing the wiring I should of cut the yaw sensor out and sent it lol
ying's car is a beast....fucking cheater lol
