I'm happy with it. I think I will follow Wendell's path and paint them grey as well soon.

#Update 2018-11-16
I replaced my spark plugs last Friday. I have to say #4 and #8 were a pain in the butt! Luckily I ordered the Divisions Coil removal tool and GearWrench sparkplug socket to ease the process.

On another note, this past weekend I took out the M3 to a winery up north and did some damper adjustments. I've settled on the following settings:

Code:
Front
Rebound: 13
Compression: 5

Rear
Rebound: 11
Compression: 4
Overall, the low-speed oscillations seem to be a little over-damped but it is a slight compromise for the high-speed changes. At high speed, the overpass transitions where I normally would clench my butt to prepare for the bumps, went without any drama. There was a single oscillation and appeared to be critically damped.

I am very happy with the MCS. There is a little clunking with the Bimmerworld endlinks but I expected that and not worried about it.

The skies are crazy due to the fires.

#Minor Update

##Navigation Update 2019-1
I stumbled upon a thread about the new maps https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1545593 and decided to download the maps to update as well. With the free Mega account, you are limited to 5GB every 6 hrs and Mega Desktop client allows you to let it run on its own until it finally downloads. Or you can pay for Mega. You will also need FSC code for your car..either 2019 or lifetime will work.

I wiped my 128GB USB 3.0 Sandisk flash drive with FAT32 and MBR partition map and copied folder contents into the main folder of the drive. I plugged it into the car and whala! It updated after 45minutes or so without much intervention. Be sure to have your FSC code ready as well!

##Throttle Actuators Failure
Before updating the car's navigation, the car decided to throw a code during pre-check. Luckily, I was just updating the maps at home and not in a remote winery somewhere up north. The car has about 58k on the odometer.

A quick jump into ISTA+ showed bank1 has a failure. You can ignore the EDC error as that will always be there since I got it deleted. The frequency is only 1 time but I rather deal with this while the car is at home and in a garage instead of towing the car back from wherever I am. I already ordered two TAs from Abdul@mpowermotorsports to get the ball rolling.

##Coming Soon
Last but not least, I had a fair share of purchases during Black Friday and some of them were car parts.

List of new parts coming up:
New Throttle Actuators
Customized license plates
Bimmerworld SS brake lines
PFC08
New Rotors
Alpine MSS tune

#Update 2018-12-09

#Motorsport Hardware lugnuts
Black Friday purchase! I installed Motorsports hardware extended lugnuts to replace the smaller open-ended nuts as extended ones are much easier to unbolt.

They sure look good!

#Alpine Tune
As I mentioned in my previous post, I also purchased Alex's Alpine MSS Stage 1 tune during Black Friday. Along with the lugnuts, I also decided to upload the tune to my car. The install was seamless and simple with Alex's instructions. I opted for a Stage 1 with speed limiter removed and Servotronic adjustment. I also asked him for a tune without the Servotronics in case I don't like it.

Unfortunately, I had a pre-existing throttle actuator code so I am unable to test drive the car. My throttle actuators haven't arrived yet from M Power Motorsports. They seem to be very popular and back ordered 4-6 business days. Hopefully, they arrive this week and I can tackle them soon.

#Motorad Thermostat

On another note, I will most likely be ordering a Motorad 880090 thermostat. This is from a Dodge Viper/Ram and it is a 190F thermostat. In comparison, the factory OE opens at 175F. I'm sure you are asking, "Hey Derek, why would want a thermostat that opens later?". I asked the same thing when I found out about this on Instagram. From I gather, the time between 175 and 200F can be reduced with this thermostat and provide better improvements to the engine. I don't see any downfall to this as it means the car warms up faster and gets to operating temperature faster. Plus the part is $22!

#Brakes
I finally got all my refresh parts for my brakes.

OE Front and Rear Rotors
OE Brake pads
OE Brake sensors
OE Brake Hardware
Bimmerworld SS Lines with insulation
PFC08 Front and Rear pads

The end-goal is Laguna Seca with SpeedSF in April 20th so I got some time to throw this stuff in. I just need to order some Castrol SRF fluid and I'll be ready to refresh the brakes!

Final note:
New plates!

Scooby Doooooo

That's it for this entry. I will update more after I get my throttle actuators in and I can test drive the new stage 1 tune.

derbo you've got your battery tender on the battery itself, not on the posts under the hood?

Yes sir!

The car is parked facing forward in the garage and the outlet next to the battery is utterly convenient so I don't have to run an extension to the front posts. There is no real different between charging at the battery and the front.
